November 21, 1999 - Sunday
Tonight I finally wrote the letter that I've been putting off. Some of you may know
which one I mean, if you don't, I'm sorry, I won't elaborate.
It rained most of the day and I spent much of the day in bed. I haven't been sleeping
a lot lately so it was nice to sleep. I finally roused myself around 2:30 and decided
to do some things. It was around 6:00 before I could make myself do laundry though.
I returned my videos and found out that I'd kept them a day too long and I had to
pay ¥900 in fines. Dammit! Then I went to the drug store and home, then out for
supper. I went to the restaurant across the street from my house, not the sushi
restaurant, the other one. I had a beef stew with rice, salad and miso soup. Yum. I also had
cafe au lait, which was yummy too.
My friend Janet called me tonight and strengthened my resolve re the letter. She's
sent hers. I know that it is the right thing, but it doesn't feel so right right
now. Sigh.
One good thing I did tonight was make some more of my Christmas cards. They look pretty
cool. I made a New Years card too. I should make them on the lottery cards I guess,
but I don't want to buy that many of them.
It's been a good day, if a bit lonely. I really wish that people would call me and
invite me places. I spend too much time at home alone. I think so anyway.
There won't be an update for a couple of days as I'll be visiting my friend in Yonezawa.
Taeko and I will hopefully be checking out all the karaoke boxes there! Run away!
