November 24, 1999 - Wednesday
Today was okay. Taeko had a real problem getting up, and then, as she was getting
ready she thought that she had an appointment at 11:00 am. That meant we had to
RUN! We got to her office and discovered that there was no visitor, at least not
yet. I talked to the foreign teacher at her school for a bit and then thought I'd better high-tail
it to the station. I got there in lots of time. I arrived in Yamagata around 1:00
pm and went shopping.
I went back to Vivre and this time explored their top floor. They were selling off
second hand videos, so I bought one that I'd been looking for for a while. It's
a John Cusack film, Grosse Pointe Blank. I'll post a review when I get around to
watching the film.
I caught the free bus to the good shops and bought Van's Christmas Present, or one
of them anyway, and some other stuff. I did a bit of shopping, but didn't find a
lot of things that I really wanted. Then, I made my way back to the station and
caught the bus back to Tsuruoka. I had a good day.
There wasn't as many e-mails waiting for me as I thought there would be, I don't know
if I'm disappointed or not!
Anyway, I'm back and I feel good. A little more relaxed, but not a lot. I need longer
off. I guess next time I'll take a week off???
