Cloudy, rainy and finally clear. The stars are bright and gorgeous tonight.
What a day! Fumihiko woke up early, but I was still really sleepy so I refused to get up for a while. I think it was an hour later when I dragged myself out of bed. We went for brunch to the Daiichi Hotel. It was okay, but not great for my diet.
After lunch we went to my apartment to start packing things up. I had packed a few things, but this week I was so sick I just didn't do very much. Sigh. So, we took a couple of loads over to the new apartment. Then, we had dinner.
After dinner we went back to my apartment and we (I shouldn't say we, it was all Fumihiko's doing) moved the fridge. It was quite difficult. My fridge isn't that big, but my apartment is on the second floor. He had to get it down the stairs and then into the car. Well, we got it downstairs and tried to put it into the trunk of the car, but it wouldn't fit. Oh no! So, Fumihiko manhandled it into the back seat! It fit, just barely.
We had fun taking it out of the car at the other end. Of course, it was raining quite heavily. Fumihiko got it in the apartment and then I was able to help a bit more to put it in place. We put the food back in it and then went back to my apartment for the washing machine. It wasn't as heavy, so Fumihiko could move it quite easily. He put it in the trunk, or more properly, on the trunk edge and tied it in place with some rubber straps. We drove back to the new place, carefully. I kept checking to see if it was still there. I had a horrible feeling it would fall off the back but it didn't.
Fumihiko set up the washing machine for me and then I made some tea. I took a shower later and changed my clothes. Everything was really sweaty and pretty smelly!
So, we're almost ready to move into the new apartment. I have to change my address with the internet company, but other than that....? So, I'm not sure when I'll be moving. If I don't post for a while, please forgive me! It's because not all of the fine details are worked out yet.
Anyway, that's it for today. A busy day. I think I'll be doing laundry tomorrow and then hopefully goofing off for a while! I hope. Wish me luck.
