Court Football Diagrams

The Field

This is a diagram drawn up by the WCFF that shows the suggested dimensions of a court football field. The different color lines are not their acutal colors: they're just different colors in the image to help show the purpose of the different lines. In actuality, all the lines should be white. Anyway, the details:

Playing Field (dark green area): Where the game is played. This is 30 yards (90ft) long and 15.3 yards (46ft) wide.

End Zones (light green area): Where you're trying to move the ball too. 5 yards (15ft) long and 15.3 yards (46ft) wide.

Goal Lines (black lines): Seperates the playing field from the end zones.

Midfield Line (white lines): Divides the playing field into even halves. Serves as the only first-down marker in court football. Ball is placed here when attempting a triple point conversion after a touchdown. Goes from top to bottom of playing field, 15 yards (45ft) from each goal line.

Hash Lines (red lines): serves the same purpose as hash marks on a regular football field. If ball is downed between hash line and sideline, ball is moved to along the closest hash line. Goes from goal line to goal line, 3.3 yards (10ft) from each sideline. Distance between hash lines should always be 8.7 yards (26 ft)

Point Lines (blue lines): Ball is placed here when attempting a point conversion after a touchdown, or after kick returner is downed in own end zone. Goes from hash line to hash line, .3 yards (1ft) from each goal line.

Double Point Lines (yellow lines): Ball is placed here when attempting a double point conversion after a touchdown, or after team recovers ball in opposing team's end zone. Also serves as boundary line for blitzing rules to take effect. Goes from hash line to hash line, 4.6 yards (14ft) from each point line, 5 yards (15ft) from each goal line.
