National Policy Issues of General or Special
Significance for Civic Action, Community
Service, and Development Programs

"For every hundred Community Activists hacking at the branches of human misery
and injustice, there's only one Community Activist sawing away at its roots."

(Actually, we should hope that *all* Community Activists -- and our
respective organizations -- are genuine "Root Sawers" -- right ??)

E-Mail the National Issues Groups Facilitator

Due to the quasi-political nature of some of these topics, it could obviously be indiscreet for Non-Profit Organizations that depend on grant funding from the State or Federal Government, and/or their Managers or Staff, to participate in any official capacity -- despite the fact that such activity may be perfectly legal so long as it does not involve publicly supporting a candidate who is running for office.

But even if you are unable take part at all, you are undoubtedly acquainted with people and organizations within your community that:  (a) do have an interest in the issues in question, and (b) are not similarly constrained.  So if you can't contribute your own "two cents worth," you could help by informing others who *can* participate about the availability of these E-Mail Groups for their use.

Please keep in mind that there's nothing sacred about the list of issues shown above -- it is open to additions, deletions, and/or revisions.  The objective is to sort through the array of possible topics and wind up with those which qualify as having genuine "root cause" status.  If you would like to suggest any particular issue(s) for inclusion, please notify the Facilitator.
