The Memory Ride is a horseback trail ride for which the purpose is fourfold:
To ride in memory of every horse in America sent to slaughter to satisfy the tastes of foreign meat markets
To educate the public about the horrors of equine slaughter
To aid and assist equine rescue organizations across the country in their efforts to save horses from the horrific fate of the slaughterhouses
To help start a movement across the nation to put laws in place which forbid the slaughter of equines
