Big Indian Playfield

Comments on the playing action:

The best way to rack up points is the vari- target and the star rollovers and drop targets. The vari- target if hit all the way back will give you 5,000 points and 5 bonus advances, which are collected at the end of the ball. The star rollovers are worth 100 points and 1 bonus advance when lit. The drop targets are worth 500 points plus 1 bonus advance and if all five targets are knocked down you get 5,000 bonus points.

The special is a replay credit. To get the special, you have to roll through the B, I ang G lanes. That lights up the special light in front of the 5 drop down targets, which have to all be knocked down to get the special. A little difficult to do because the game resets after each ball. You have 1 chance to get the I: at the top rollthrough lane. There are two ways to get the B and G: At the top left and side left and the top right and side right repectively.

My all- time high score is 140,190 on 10/13/02, before it went back to my Dad's..

Big Indian Backbox

Comments on the features:

The backbox is nicely laid out and when lit, illuminates the Indian nicely. This machine is in fairly high demand among Gottlieb 70's collectors. I can see why- the artwork and play of this machine are great!

Big Indian Flyer

Gottlieb produced advertising flyers for most or all of their machines I believe from the 1950's on. Here is a scan of the flyer for "Big Indian". The original flyer measures 8 1/2 x 11in.
