Previously Owned Machines

This page pictures and gives a brief description of machines I have previously owned and links to pages with more info about them.
Williams 1969 "Spooks"

I have restored 5 machines and will be doing 2 more for a client in Santa Maria, and as thanks for all the work, he gave me an incomplete, but playable and restorable copy of this Rifle game. I had an offer I couldn't turn down, and sold this game late in 2007.

D. Gottlieb's 1973 "Big Indian"

My dad had had this machine since 1979, and is the pinball I grew up playing with. He let me have it in July, 1999, and I went straight to work cleaning it, replacing parts and tuning it up. It is now in perfect working order and is in pristine condition. I enjoyed working on this so much that I wanted to pick up another machine and wound up with a package deal I couldn't turn down- a 1973 Gottlieb 'Pro Football' and 1975 Gottlieb '300'.

My dad finally had the opportunity to ship it back to Arkansas, and it was packed up over Thanksgiving, 2008.

D. Gottlieb's 1973 'Pro Football'

I picked up this machine in a package deal with a Gottlieb 1975 '300' in Oct. 1999, and completed a full restoration of it on May 4, 2000.
As you can see, this machine took quite a bit of work to restore.
As of 8/26/00 this machine has a happy new owner and good home. I will miss it after all the work I put into it, but I now have the space to work on other projects.

D. Gottlieb's 1975 ‘300’

I acquired this machine in a package deal with the 'Pro Football' in Oct. 1999. I finished a complete mechanical restoration on this machine in January 2000, and it is now fully functional. I replaced most of the pop bumpers and flipper mechanisms, and acquired 2 of the missing balls used in the animation in the head. It has come a long way. When I first got it and plugged it in and turned it on, the only thing it did was run the main motor, and even that was locking up. I have digitally reconstructed the backglass, with the hopes of having a translight and mask made from the image files, but never got around to it.
I finally got around to repainting and fixing up the cabinet. It had a hole drilled near the front door- probably because someone lost a key and had to get into the machine. I needed to patch this and repaint the original stencil artwork as the paint was weathered and flaking off the cabinet. The pics of the new paint job are on the '300 Page 2'.
Due to finances, I was forced to sell this game and it has a new owner as of July 2006.

D. Gottlieb's 1973 'Jumping Jack'

I picked up this machine on May 22, 2001. The former owner said it was working when he put it in storage 10 years ago. My friend Craig referred me to him last year and I actually looked at it and was prepared to buy it later that month and he didn't return my calls, so I decided to get the 'Hot Shot'. I kept the card and decided to try and reach him again and had better luck this time. As you can see, this machine was very rough and took quite a bit to restore.

As of January 20, 2003, this machine has a happy new owner and home.

I had looked at this machine not long after getting the 'Big Indian' cleaned up and fully functional, and had all but promised I would buy it when I got an offer I couldn't turn down- the package deal of the '300' and 'Pro Football'. I finally got enough money together and cleaned out the garage enough so I'd have space for it, and bought it on 6/12/00. The gentleman was kind enough to wait for me, because he knew how much I wanted it. To see more pictures and read more about this machine,

As of 2/13/01 this machine has a new owner and home.
I sold it due to space limitations and to be able to get a 1975 Gottlieb 'Soccer', a 'sister' machine for my '300'.

D. Gottlieb's 1975 'El Dorado'

I picked up this machine on August 11, 2001. The owner said he had had it for the last 20 years. I got to play a copy of this game on June 30, 2001 at a friends birthday party and liked the game very much and they referred me to someone who had one for sale.
Due to finances, I was forced to sell this game, and it has a happy new owner here in town as of Dec. 21, 2004. The new owner graciously agreed to give me first option, should he ever decide to sell it, so hopefully sometime down the road, I can buy the game back….

D. Gottlieb's 1975 'Soccer'

Ever since my friend Pete McDonald emailed a pic of his "Super Soccer', I wanted one. Well, I got the next best thing- the 2 Player 'Soccer'. I bought it from a friend of mine locally. It's in pretty good shape and plays great! This was a 2 Player 'sister' machine to my '300'. Both were made the same year and have similar features both in design of the playfields and the backbox animation.

As of 11/16/02 this machine has a new home and happy new owner.

D. Gottlieb's 1977 "Centigrade 37"

I worked out a barter deal with a client and picked up this machine on February 19, 2004.. I completed the restoration during the 3rd week of March 2004, and sold the game at Pin A GoGo May 15, 2004, due to financial reasons. A gentleman in the Bay Area is the happy new owner.
