Anna Kournikova is to get married. NHL star
Pavel Bure said he proposed to the Russian on
Friday at a Miami Restaurant - and she accepted.
Bure declined to announce a wedding date but said: "We'll tell details
when she gets back in town in the middle of March."
British tabloids broke the story first this morning with Kournikova, and
the full story of her engagement, appearing on the FrontPage of the
nation's favourite newspapers.

Britain's biggest selling newspaper, The Sun, said Bure got down on
one knee and proposed as stunned diners looked on.

"Yes, Pavel and Anna got engaged at my restaurant," Forge restaurant
owner Shareef Malnik was quoted as saying.

"I was on my way to the Ocean Drive party and Pavel called and said,
'Hey, I just popped the question for a champagne toast with them, and
then we went on together to Ocean Drive."

Bure plays for the Florida Panthers and won the title of most valuable
player during the 50th National Hockey League All-Star game on
February 7.
It is claimed that Kournikova has known Bure just four months
