Ch. Ron-D's Great Pretender
April, 1983 - November, 2001

"Luther" sired by "Smash" x Ch. Glenmurray's High Society, C.D., CGC is bred by Ron Vaughn of Ron-D Kennels. "Luther" was born in 1993 and finished his championship by going WD at the 1994 Summer National handled by our friend Lisa Arnett. "Luther" was started on the road to his championship by our friend Jan Covey who also won Sweepstakes and Sweepstakes Varieties with him. "Luther" was just lost and will be sorely missed here at Capri.

Ch. Ron-D 'N Capri Last Smash
"Flash" the last born "Smash" puppy. Sired by "Smash" and out of Ch. Budken Miss Chatelaine, she was born on Kentucky Derby Day 1997. "Flash" is co-bred and co-owned by Ron Vaughn (Ron-D) and Susan Burke (Capri). She began her show career with our friend Jan Covey who put a major on her as a youngster. Jan also showed her at the Summer National where she made the cut in the huge Open Bitch Class. "Flash" went on to our friend Lisa Arnett who finished her with two more big majors. "Flash" came home to Capri after finishing where she is the best "catcher girl" - fly balls, ground balls, line drives and whatever else it takes. She is our other housedog here with her mother "Bailey" and her cat "Five-O" (however Five-O sees it somewhat differently). She too has that wonderful "Smash" temperment and has adapted to the life of the housedog very well. She will remain here with me as mother will and as her father did.

Ch. Glenmurray's High Society, C.D, CGC
"Gracie" is sired by Ch. Glenmurray's Solid Black x Glenmurray's High Point (High Noon's dam). She was bred to "Smash" twice and produced six puppies total in the two litters - all have gone on to finish either American, Canadian or Finnish championships. "Gracie" was just lost to the breed 3/14/01 and lived out her life with her lifetime owners Ron and Diana Vaughn of Ron-D Kennels. She finished her championship handled by Barbara Gamache and then went on to complete her C.D handled by Ron. "Gracie" was bred two more times -to Ch. Cin-Dee's Triple Crown and produced Ch. Ron-D Make It So (BV ASCOB Futurity '96 Summer National)and to Ch. NorthYork Warlock.
