A $15,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the whereabouts of a Galt woman and her two young daughters, who vanished without a trace nearly three months ago.

Family members pooled their money to seek clues about the disappearance of Annie Marie Hernandez, 34, and her daughters Korra Meyers, 5, and Jesika Hernandez, 2, said the missing woman's mother. The three were last seen by relatives on the evening of Nov. 2 at a McDonald's restaurant on Pocket Road in Sacramento.

Jeanne Peterson said she strongly believes that her daughter and granddaughters have been harmed and that police have failed to take the case seriously enough. "I have been sitting here in the dark feeling helpless, thinking they are not doing anything," said Peterson. "So we decided to put up a reward."

A Galt police detective said the agency is actively investigating leads in the case. "But nothing significant has come up," said Detective Steve Denier.

Family members have posted fliers, contacted missing persons organizations and hired a private detective, to no avail, said Peterson. "They're just gone."

Hernandez disappeared after meeting her mother and sister at the McDonald's after an argument with her husband, Armando, police and family members said. Her two sons, Anthony, 10, and Daniel, 11/2, were to spend the night with their grandmother.

Peterson never spoke with her daughter again, she said. None of the family's clothes or any other personal items are missing, and Hernandez has made no contact with any of her relatives, she said.

"If it turns out she just took off, I will be the happiest person in the world," said Peterson. "But I don't think so. I know Annie."

Police have said no one in the family is considered a suspect in the trio's disappearance.

Annie Hernandez is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 100 pounds, with reddish brown hair. She was driving a gray 1993 Dodge Caravan minivan with the California license plate number 3CQH631.

Korra Meyers has long blond hair and blue eyes; she's about 3 feet 6 inches tall and 45 pounds. Her sister, Jesika Hernandez, with brown eyes and hair, is about 2 feet 6 inches and 35 pounds.

Anyone with information about the case should call either the Galt Police Department at (209) 745-1535 or the Polly Klaas Foundation at 1 (800) 587-4357.
