CLARKSBURG — Authorities are trying to
determine
whether a van recovered today from the Sacramento
River
contains the bodies of a Galt woman and her two
daughters who have been missing since November. The van
was found mid-day on River Road about three miles south
of Clarksburg. River Road is twisty, two-lane county
road on the Yolo County side of the Sacramento River.
The California Highway Patrol initially identified the
bodies as an adult female and two children. However,
authorities are now saying there was only one body in
the van. The license tag on the vehicle reportedly
matches that of the Galt family's vehicle. Annie Marie
Hernandez, 34, and her two daughters, Jesika Hernandez,
2, and Korra Meyers, 5, have been missing since Nov. 2.
They were last seen in a McDonald’s parking lot at
the Pocket Road exit at Interstate 5 in South
Sacramento. More information will be published as it
becomes available. Tomorrow ’s Lodi News-Sentinel
will have full coverage of the discovery. More
