Items to include might be: band-aid,cotton ball, tongue depressor,q-tip,etc. Glue on a red cross to the outside of the doctor bag and write with a white crayon,"Dr.______".
911 Telephone
Have children cut out the shape of a phone in black construction paper that has been traced for them.Glue on a key pad cut out of white paper with the numbers 911 written on it. Twist a black pipe cleaner around a pencil and attach the pipe cleaner to the base of the phone and the receiver by twisting into a hole punched in both with a hole punch. You probably want to use the little white reinforcement goodies so the paper will not tear from the pipe cleaner.

Ages 4^-7. Michelle wants to grow up to be a police officer like her dad. Bright color photographs and a simple text show how she and her brother, David, visit their father at the East Hampton village police station and spend the day with him at his work. Dad patrols the small town: "He knows everybody." He wears a bulletproof vest, but there's no danger or violence. He finds a lost dog, checks a car for speeding, calls an ambulance when a kid falls off his bike, and directs the traffic at the school crossing. It's an idyllic scene, and this girl wants to be part of it.
