Sitting on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious bugs.Yum!Yum!
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
...three,two,one,no green speckled frogs.
Spiral Snake
Draw a spiral onto a piece of green or brown construction paper. Have the children cut out a "snake" by following the lines of the spiral all the way around until they reach the middle.Hang the snakes from the ceiling.They can decorate their snakes with patterns to make different types of snakes.
Paper Bowl Frogs
Have the children paint two paper bowls with green tempera paint.To assemble the frogs, have the children put the bowl openings together and add four green construction paper legs. Have them fold the legs with an accordian fold and attach small feet onto the end of each leg. Add yellow eyes onto the top bowl and stick out a pink tongue out from between the two plates. These are very cute and they look adorable hanging from the ceiling.
