1. Writing ratios:
Ratio is comparing two quantities(of same units).
Tom is 5 years old and his sister is 8 years old.
The ratio of Tom and sister age can be written as:
5 to 8, 5:8
Tom age is 5/8 of his sister age.
2. Write the ratio and simplify:
3. To find equal ratio multiply or divide both terms by the same number:
3:5 = 6:10 = 9:15 = 12:20 are equal ratios.
