Motorcyclist Airlifted After Greenhorn Creek Crash

By Doug Mattson - Tuesday, May 30, 2000
A Marysville man was hospitalized in stable condition Monday after he crashed his motorcycle into another motorcycle Monday in Greenhorn Creek, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Gregory Hubbs, 51, went by CHP helicopter to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, CHP Officer David Qualls said. Engineer Rob Penn of Nevada County Consolidated Fire District said the motorcyclist suffered at least four broken ribs and a punctured right lung.
The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m., west of Red Dog Road and south of Edgewater Court.
Hubbs was riding a 2000 Honda behind another 2000 Honda ridden by John Martz, 22, whose address wasn't immediately available, Qualls said. Martz slowed, and Hubbs crashed into him at an unknown speed.
