An early-morning blaze ripped through a trailer northwest of Nevada City Sunday and burned it to its foundation, a fire official said.
No one was home, and there were no injuries, said engineer Patrick Sullivan of the Forty-Niner Fire Protection District.
The trailer fire started at about 2 a.m. and destroyed an 8-by-40-foot residence at 14520 Deerhaven Lane, south of the Yuba River, Sullivan said.
The fire raged into the resident's Ford Explorer that was parked next to the trailer and destroyed it, Sullivan said. The Explorer's theft alarm awakened a neighbor, who reported the fire, he said.
The fire was contained by about 3 a.m. and was out by 4 a.m., a dispatch report said.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Nevada City Fire Department also responded.
A small fire started about 2 a.m. Sunday in a business' sawdust collector at 12435 Loma Rica Drive and triggered the sprinkler system and alarm, a fire official said.
The fire was contained by 2:30 a.m., according to a dispatch report. The Grass Valley City Fire Department, the Ophir Hill Fire Protection District and the Nevada City Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to the fire.
A chimney caught fire at 517 Linden St. in Grass Valley on Saturday at about 5:30 p.m., a dispatch report said.
No one was hurt, and the fire was contained at about 6 p.m., a fire official said. The flames were confined to the chimney, and the house was habitable after the fire was out, he said.
The Grass Valley City Fire Department and the Nevada County Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to the incident.
