South-County Man Hurt in Fall From Tree

A 46-year-old man suffered back and chest injuries about 5 p.m. Sunday when he fell from a tree he was trying to trim at his house on the 16000 block of Auburn Road near Kiwi Road in south Nevada County, authorities said.
He fell about 40 feet and landed on his back, said Nevada County Consolidated Fire Protection District Engineer Brian Gerving. The man's name was not available, he said.
The man was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center by Calstar helicopter, Gerving said.
