A 60-year-old Grass Valley man struck while crossing Brunswick Road last week was in fair condition Tuesday at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, a supervising nurse said.
On Jan. 9 Fred Maish was struck on the right side by a Subaru Forester while crossing Brunswick near Ralphs Grocery Company. It was about 6:15 p.m. and raining when the accident occurred.
His daughter, Jennifer Creeks of Georgetown, said Maish suffered a fractured skull and right leg and was taken out of intensive care Tuesday. She said it remains unclear if he has permanent brain damage, and 14 pins were inserted into his right leg to stabilize the bones.
