Two people were airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center Saturday after a crash on Allison Ranch Road near Northstar Mine just outside the Grass Valley city limits.
The two were injured just before 7:30 p.m. after their vehicle veered off Allison Ranch and rolled onto the shoulder.
Two engines from the Nevada County Consolidated Fire Department responded to the accident.

Unidentified Crash Victim Dies

Two days after a Grass Valley-area crash killed one man and seriously injured another, their identities remained unconfirmed, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.
The men's 1969 Datsun station wagon crashed at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday on Allison Ranch Road, south of North Star Mine Road. The car was southbound when it missed a curve and hit an embankment, ejecting both men.
The passenger, possibly in his late 20s, died of major head and internal injuries at 10:30 p.m. while in surgery Saturday at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, CHP spokesman Troy Marks said.
The driver was in “very serious” condition at Sutter Roseville Monday, Marks said. He said an Oregon man called the CHP to say the driver might be his son. The car was registered to a Southern California resident, but it's unclear if that person was involved in the crash.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt or had identification, according
to Marks. He said the crash remains under investigation.
