~Background Info: Rocky was part of the Stone Canyon Ninja Team. He and his fellow teammates and friends, Adam Park and Aisha Campbell, represented Stone Canyon to participate in the Team Ninja Competition. One of the round's fight was in Angel Grove. When they arrived in Angel Grove, they became Zedd's target as his evil servers. During one of the attacks, Rocky and his friends discovered the rangers' real identities. They promised the rangers and Zordon that they wouldn't tell anyone, and they didn't. When Jason, Trini, and Zack were chosen to attend the Peace Conference in Switzerland, Zordon chose Rocky, Adam, and Aisha to replace them. Rocky became the new Red Ranger.
At the next Team Ninja Competition during Zeo time, Rocky accidentally injured his back during a practice. The injury forced him to resign from his ranger duty. He gave his powers to Justin Stewart, a thirteen-year-old freshman and friend, who overheard the rangers conversation and witnessed them teleporting.
