Oh look, it's Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi! He is my favorite character from the show; I have to say he's pretty much the only thing that makes it worth watching... As a matter of
fact I think I have developed a fan girl crush on him (the character, though, not this chick)!

My favorite character from Trigun comes back to life. From the view behind him I believe this was taken outside the Anime Music Video contest room on the third floor of the convention center.

This was taken while heading down the escalator from the second floor. I just wanted a shot to show the swarms of people at AX and the size of the convention hall. This photo really does not do a good job of conveying just how many people attended this year. I think I heard that attendence exceeeded 20,000 but I wonder if that counts all the folks who only came for one day.

Sinclair snapped this picture from the escalators at the convention center. I believe he said he took it because he didn't want to forget where he was when he had such a wonderful time with such a fun, smart, beautiful, loving woman ~_~ ... then we quickly made our way back to our hotel room so he could tell me more wonderful things about myself! (Hung the PRIVACY sign outside our door, too, tee-hee!)

Look at him; I couldn't wait to hold him and hug him and squeeze him! He's just so cute and soft and cuddly, so Sinclair went to the dealers room and got one for me... Oh sorry, I got distracted. This fellow is cosplaying as Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket, and the cute cuddly kitty he's holding is Kyo also, and now because of Sinclair I have one to hug and cuddle!

This was in the dealers' room toward the very back. There was a booth about mecha cosplaying and there was this fellow in this incredible Gundam suit. He did a very good job putting on a show for the crowd and moving like an animatronic display. It was a lot like watching one of those singing and animated Santa statues on someone's garish Christmas display.....only not spooky. I later saw this guy taking his costume apart. I don't know how he kept from melting in it, it looked worse than a Star Wars stormtrooper costume.

Here are some awesome cosplayers from the anime Shamanic Princess. They remind me of the only video I liked from the AMV awards, Dark Journey: it was a very cool Shamanic Princess video done to "Imaginary" by Evanescence!

I wasn't sure if she is from Full Moon Wo Sagashite but she drew a lot of attention regardless. She is just one of many cosplayers straining guys' necks while walking around AX.

The poster in the background is part of the display promoting Ragnarok. But if you are concentrating on the background, you have your priorities wrong. I'm not sure if she is dressed as a character or not but she was doing a good job of getting attention for the booth.

Scrapped Princess is one of my favorite animes and this Pacifica was the only Scrapped Princess cosplayer I encountered at AX. I passed by her while returning to the hotel and I had to turn around, vault a few plants, and skirt around some attendees to get this photo!

While waiting in line for the Yoko Ishida concert I spotted Misaki's angel Hikaru from the anime Angelic Layer! She did a really good job on this costume. Angelic Layer is another one people should cosplay more for!

I took this photo while waiting in one of many long autograph lines in the dealer's room. There were so many they all blend together after awhile so I cannot recall which line this was. Judging from the next photo, it looks like it was Toshiharu Murata's autograph line. I think she is dressed as a Ragnarok character. I think she would fit in well in another photo earlier on this page.

Jesse managed to win a sketch from Murata at his focus panel. The lucky punk was showing off his sketch. The round object in the foreground of the photo is the front sight of my MP5 sighting in on him. Amazingly, Murata-san was generous enough to give sketches to just about anyone who requested one! What a guy! Now that's a way to render a fan speechless. Of course, Jesse had to lament that this cheapened the signifigance of winning the raffle for a sketch...

I knew I saw a Mitsumi some where... Oh wait, that's me, I was Mitsumi! That's right, silly me... guess I forgot. Did I mention I really really love watermelons? Comment from Lisa's "boy" friend: I really really love those big, round, plump, juicy watermelons too...

Oh look, it's Mitsumi and Naru... I think this Naru makes Mitsumi look really short though. Luckily she was a whole lot nicer than the one in the anime; I hope I run into her again in the future since she was so pleasant to talk with!

The girl was on the left was dressed in Naru's Chirstmas outfit from the Love Hina manga. I have never seen anyone dressed in the Love Hina Christmas outfits except for Lisa. When we spotted her we just had to get a photo. Luckily, Lisa was dressed in Mutsumi's Christmas outfit. These two ended up posing for very long time as the fanboy horde descended upon them!

More fodder for fanboys! Mutsumi encounters Naru fresh from a dip in the Hinatasou onsen. Good thing I was not dressed as Keitaro this day. Naru would have slugged me for looking at her in a towel. Then again, maybe Mutsumi would be nice enough to nurse me back to health...

You know if I was a guy this would be pleasant... but I'm not, so I was a little uncomfortable when Naru latched onto me. But it was
still nice to run into some more Love Hina cosplayers. There also was a really annoying guy talking pictures that kept harassing me about not smiling; you try holding a smile for up to five minutes straight! For that split second I wished I was cosplaying as punch-happy Naru!

I had no clue which character she is dressed as (later learned that she was Mistress Mel, who specializes in the Gothic Lolita look) but check out that train! She is brave to walk around in that.

This was the best Sir Integra Wingate Hellsing costume I saw. She even had her ceremonial accoutrements. She liked my costume as well but I think she was just glad to see another soldier had survived the Tower of London operation.
While speaking with her, she mentioned she loved Integra's character so much, she was even wearing the same type of bra! I jokingly challenged her to prove it and much to my surprise, she mentioned she had received a similar request at another con and she did prove it! I quickly backpedalled to tell her she didn't have to prove it for my sake. The hazards of cosplaying...
