The Few, The Proud...

Cheng Em, Sharon Lagman, Jasmin Riehl, and Kim Hoa Ung

Yes, I know it's a little cheesy, but we think it's cute. It all started when we sent a two foot birhthday card to our friend Philip on the 6th of September. He narcissistically calls himself "Ace". We signed the card "from the Four Queens." It was only natural. And so, Cheng became the Queen of Clubs (because it was the only one left), Sharon became the Queen of Hearts 9she was the first one to pick), Kim the Queen of Diamonds (for her love of earning money), and I the infamous Queen of Spades.

Jasmin and Cheng

My rose for Cheng.

The pictures below were taken during our second year of high school. Cheng and I were dual partners for the Lean Mean Green Belmont Speaking Machines. We saw each other through two consecutive state championships, a stack of trophies, and irreplaceable memories.

Cheng is the baby in the group. She was born in San Joaquin, by northern California (which was where our first state competition was held). I am so proud of Cheng because she finally decided that she is going to be a school teacher. It's a tough road trying to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life. Cheng has tried it all, and now she's happy. I miss you monkey.

Sharon...Queen of Hearts

My rose for Sharon.

Well, I thought this picture was cute. Apparently she doesn't think so. She wants me to take it off. Sorry man. No dice. It's been almost ten years now. We're going to grad school together. No matter how hard we try the divorce has never been finalized.

I am the godmother of her niece Rhianne, who was born on July 7, 2002. Ronell, who is five is getting quite long...and loud.

Sharon...Queen of Hearts

My rose for Kim.

Kim has finally figured out what she wants to do in life. She started at UCLA as a computer engineering major. She later smarted up and decided that she wants to be a pharmacist. She will be graduating in about a year or so.
