TIANTONG PAGODA - CHINA
The Tiantong (Heavenly Child) Pagoda covers 76,400m2 at the foot of Taibai Mountain, 25 kilometers east of Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province. Along the sides of the stone-paved road entering the gate of the temple compound are the oldest pines which date from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), and others were planted during the Song (960-1279), Ming (1368-1644), and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties and in 1979. The principal halls are the Hall of the Heavenly King, the Hall of the Buddhas, the Academy of Buddhist Doctrine, the Tower of Religious Scriptures, and the Hall of the Saints.
