Single Again
I am single again,
Without someone to hold in my arms,
To softly kiss and whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
I miss the feeling of affection returned,
Something missing within me burns.
I try to hide my loneliness,
By filling other peoples voids.
By giving them a piece of me,
This way I fill my soul.
The phrase "I love you" means naught to me,
I've heard it far too much.
I know no longer what it means,
For this reason I greave.
I need someone to lift me up,
Whenever I am down.
I need someone to make me smile,
When I wear a frown.
I need someone to keep secrets with,
To share my darkest fears.
I feel so alone right now,
I am single again.
