Trippin Out
My sanity goes past its brink,
As the lights slowly go out.
Down in the depths of this dark room,
People begin to shout.
A wailing rises up about me,
It surrounds me on all sides.
As I look around and see no one,
My adrenaline begins to rise.
My breathing quickens,
My muscles tense,
Something trips off my sixth sense.
I light a match,
And look around,
And suddenly there is no sound.
I'm paranoid
And quite afraid,
I guess you could say,
I'm dismayed.
A movement I see quick and decise,
I quickly dismiss it as some mice.
A scratching here, a scratching there,
On my neck rises my hair.
I'm hearing voices, seeing shadows,
In this room a cold wind blows.
I'm paralyzed from head to toe,
What the future hold, I do no know.
A candle lights, then two, then three,
A ring of light surrounding me.
I'm dying slowly this is true,
My worlds been flipped around by you!
