Event of the Week!!
No Event this week, seeing as though it's 10th week!! aah, time flies! Thanks for such a great year! Check back next fall, or perhaps this summer for more Kappa Lambda chapter activities!! Good luck with finals and have an awesome summer!

Recruitment and Tug-O-War
Get pumped for recruitment next fall (shop this summer for hot commodity items, not monstrosities...lol) and right after, with our hot new members in tow, we'll be diving right into our annual philanthropy, TUG-O-WAR!!! who's excited besides Christine?!!? EVERYBODY! we're going to raise tons for Make-A-Wish!!!

Past Events

Greek Awards
Chi Omega defintely received some awesome chapter awards, including the EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD and the first ever SISTERHOOD AWARD for our outstanding support of each other and other Panhellenic Sororities. Of course, our individual members were formally recognized with various awards including the GREEK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR: KRISTIN HUNSTAD, and the JUNIOR EMERGING LEADER: MEREDITH KNELL! Congrats Ladies!!!

Inter Sorority Sports
Chi Omegas participate in many competitive athletic games against other Panhellenic Sororities in pursuit of the Sports Banner! Sports we play within this year-long series include football, innertube water polo, kickball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis and bowling.

Exchanges
Exchanges are a great way to mingle with the IFC fraternities at UCSD. Our social chair, Anat Dardashti, communicates with other chapters and schedules super-fun events for all of us to attend together in order to form friendships and support for one another within the Greek community. Examples of past exchanges are: "Chicks and Hicks" theme with Sigma Chi where we rode a double decker bus to a club in Carlsbad. "Heaven and Hell" with Sigma Alpha Epsilon; "Hawaiian Luau" themed bowling and bonfire with Sigma Phi Epsilon; 80's themed karaoke with Alpha Epsilon Pi, Padres game with Sigma Nu, and jungle themed dancing with the men of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Presents
The first formal of the year where we present our beautiful new members. Actives traditionally wear black and Newbies wear white. It's a great time for dancing and bonding!

Grab-A-Date
It's a Monday night and chapter meeting is proceeding normally when, all of a sudden, 80 hot men walk through the door waiting to be chosen by you for a night on the town. This, my friends, is Grab-A Date, the best meat market a girl could ask for!

Crush
An informal dance with a crazy theme! This year the theme was Greek gods and goddesses! Cameos were made by the goddess of the Amazon, the goddess of Gucci, and a Mexican wrestler. Good times...

Greek Week
This week long activity takes place during March where IFC and Panhellenic are put into teams where we compete for points. Events include Letters Day, Games Day, the Talent Show and many others. The point of Greek Week is to let the students of UCSD know how great it is to be Greek and more importantly, to raise money for the children of St. Jude's Hospital with "Up 'till Dawn"!

Chi Omega Tug-O-War!!!!!!!!
Our philanthropy pits athletic and IFC teams to a rope tugging competition. It gets intense out there, let me tell you! Congratulations to the Tennis Team for claiming the coveted title of Tug-O-War Champions 2002 for the second year in a row!! Thank you to all the teams and sponsors, with their help we raised money for Make*A*Wish! Next year, with Schneib already planning a spectacular event, we are sure to raise our goal of $3,000!

Salsa Night
A night of salsa dancing with all proceeds going towards the Make*a*Wish Foundation. Great job Mere Abby and everyone else for initiating and putting on the successful event!

Sisterhood events
What could be more fun than hanging out with the girls?! We do so many fun things together like painting ceramic art at Claytime, ice skating, make-up night, going out to dinner together, seeing movies, beach days, bonfires, surfing, Golden Spoon runs, arts & crafts, and soo much more!

ISVT
The annual Inter-Sorority Volleyball Tournament will be held in Santa Barbara this year from April 26th-27th. Contact Meghan for caravan and accomodation info if you're interested!

Chi Omega Hugs From Home
Props to Shannon B. for initiating this great idea. We sent our troops much needed toiletries/supplies/letters of support while they were away because of their obligation to our country! Good job, ladies!

White Carnation Ball
Our beautiful Spring Formal was held on Saturday, May 17th! Everyone looked gorgeous and a fabulous night of dancing was had by all!

Family Day!
Bring Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa or anyone you consider family to our annual Family Day celebration at the Catamaran Hotel in PB. It's good to share the Chi-O love with others, seriously folks.

Sisterhood Chapter Retreat!
We all had such an amazing time spending the night hanging out, stuffing our faces, and laughing at our retreat in downtown La Jolla. We are the greatest!!
