Game Review

Hesperia Christian beat Victor Valley Christian in their first meeting of the season 67-55. The Patriots were led by Aja Ajanwachuku with 23 points and Jesse McDonald with 18 points. The Royals played way better than their 1-4 Agape record. The Patriots played without emotion or intensity this evening and survived their lackluster performance. The press worked well for HCS in the game and certainly was a prime reason for the team's 23 steals tonight. HCS' assists on the other hand were almost non existent with a measly 16 assists. HCS led the Royals 37-31 in the first half. HCS won the third and fourth quarters 15-11 and 15-13 but could not put the Royals away, a problem the team has had all season. The Royals were led by junior Ryan Nuestro with 12 points and former HCS player Asher Hudson with 8 points. HCS is now 4-1 and solely in second place in the Agape League. Victor Valley Christian is now 1-4 in conference play.
