I'm probably biased, by I really liked this game.
It was very interesting and it got me hooked for a very long time.
I'm kind of offended by other reviews (on other internet pages).
But the odd thing is, is that I've found some guy who gave the game a perfect 10,
while another guy at about only 3 or 2 per section.
Anyway, about the game.. I'd say the best parts of the game are the characters.
Each and every one of them have their little dark secrets. Which is cool. The Story is awesome,
but the Story's little flaw is that it comes in very predictable.
It starts out as a war, and ends up as a love story. Hm...
Why is it that all RPGs end up in a love story? It seems like love is
inevitable in RPGs.. I've found out that certain
people don't like the fact that Legend of Dragoon is both humorous and serious. It's not even THAT funny. Only during the beginning..
That's only because there was reason to cheer up back then.
Near the end you have to save the world from several threats..
The Graphics are beautiful, the battle system however needs a lot of precision. Of course,
you start out simple, but the game gets harder. Trust me on that.
The bosses look really evil, and I repeat, the Graphics are beautiful.
Sound and Music are decent. They are mostly on the mellow side, well made..
Except for the very beginning battle backgrounds. Certain parts,
such as when you defeat the enemy team, come annoying.
The Battle System, like all RPGs, get tiring after
a long dose of the game. It's great to do new moves, and with
7 playable characters and 8 different dragoons, it'll take a while to
tire of the game by doing move after move after move...
To brief it all up..
I really liked this game for it's breathtaking graphics,
it's intruguing characters and somewhat difficult battles.
The Battles need much accuracy, and the Control (Map/Dungeon-wise) is very mobile.
Strategy is much needed later in the game, the beginning is very simple.
The Music can get very annoying at times. But I did however, enjoy two pieces of music.
This game has some noticable flaws. Their English, for example. Haschel's addition,
Flurry of Styx, typoed as Ferry of styx.
And Dart's "Wow!"'s opposed to "Whoa!!"
Ehh.. Maybe it's just me,
but it would make a lot more sense to go 'whoa' when falling down a few stories.
