"BREATHE"
- PASSIONS THEME SONG
Since Passions' debut on
July 5th, viewers have been anxious to learn more about the show's theme
song. The song is called "Breathe" and it was co-written by
singer-songwriter, Jane French and composer, John Henry. Jane French
also sings the catchy song.
Jane French and John Henry began working together in late 1998 on
material for her first CD. According to Jane, "When John got the
call to score Passions he called me to suggest I think about writing a
theme song…The title Passions is vivid and evokes multiple images;
somehow it made me think of the very act of breathing. There's the kind
of passion that takes your breath away; there's being so passionately
involved you lose your breath; anger, surprise, suspense…all these
human emotions are tied to breathing. I was delighted they chose the
song, and even more so that the producers decided to start the very
first episode with a montage that featured the song. And by the way, the
footage in that montage was breathtaking!" Jane says.
Unfortunately, "Breathe" is not available for purchase at this
time, so keep watching Passions to get your fill of this beautiful song!
The Lyrics for the Theme Song!
I would hold the hand of the one who could lead me places.
And kiss the lips of the one who could sing so sweet.
And I would fly on the wings of a bird If I knew it would take me highest.
Breathe in, breathe out.
You keep me alive.
You are the fire burning inside of me.
You are my passion for life.
