Angel of Light?

13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?   Hebrews 1:13-14

For the most part, the word translated 'angel' in the Bible is from one of two words.  In Hebrew it is Strongs #4397 (the Chaldean / Aramaic equivalent is Strongs # 4398) while in Greek it is Strongs #32.

#4397 malĠak { mal-awk'} from an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy; TWOT - 1068a; n m
AV - angel 111, messenger 98, ambassadors 4, variant 1; 214
GK - 4855 { Ja;l]m'}
1)      messenger, representative
1a)     messenger
1b)     angel
1c)     the theophanic angel

#4398 malĠak (Aramaic) { mal-ak'} corresponding to 4397; TWOT - 2827; n m
AV - angel 2; 2
GK - 10417 { Ja'l]m']}}}
1)      angel

#32 aggelos { ang'-el-os} from aggello [probably derived from 71, cf 34] (to bring tidings); TDNT - 1:74,12; n m
AV - angel 179, messenger 7; 186
GK - 34 { a[ggelo" }
1)      a messenger, envoy, one who is sent, an angel, a messenger from God

Oddly enough, both words are also translated 'messenger' and the Hebrew is alternatively translated 'ambassador' and 'servant'.  The choice of translation is sometimes clear, but sometimes shows the bias of the translator.  For more on this see "Angels or Messengers"

The first instance of malĠak is found in Genesis 16:7.  It is part of one of the most intriguing phrases in the Old Testament - "the angel of the Lord."  The word LORD is Strong's #3068, Y^ehovah { yeh-ho-vaw'} or YHWH - which is Yahweh or Jehovah.  The term "angel of the LORD" is used in 48 verses in the Old Testament.  It is unique and must be separated from the other 'angel' references.  The companion phrase "the angel of God (elohim)" carries the same weight, with the possible exception of Ex 14:19, where it is unclear, and several metaphorical uses.

"The angel of the LORD" speaks and acts as God, Himself. [Gen 16:7-13, Gen 22:11-12, Ex 3:2-6]  He also accepts sacrifices. [Jud 6:19-21, Jud 7:16, 19-20]  It is clear that "the angel of the LORD" is indeed God, Himself.  Some theologians call this a Theophany or a Christophany - the latter a term for a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ in human form.  Strangely enough, this distinction is not clear in the New Testament, although the phrase "angel of the Lord" appears in the translated text.  [Lord being Strongs # 2962 kurios { koo'-ree-os}]

Therefore, if we are to study 'angels' we first must eliminate the verses where messenger, ambassador or servant is used, as well as Old Testament references to the "angel of the LORD/God."  Next we eliminate metaphoric usage where people are compared to angels.  Now we have a basis on which to draw some conclusions about the appearance, methods, duties and characteristics of God's holy angels in their dealings with men.

By far the most common function of angels is as messengers - imagine that!  They give messages and / or warnings from God.  In Zechariah an angel acts as a go-between from Zechariah to the figures in Zechariah's visions.  They appear in dreams several times to give instructions from God.  Angels "go before" people, apparently to assure that God's purpose prevails.

Angels struck the men of Sodom blind, and led Lot and his family out of the city before God destroyed it.  Those same angels negotiated with Lot for him to go to Zoar and that city was not destroyed.  An angel gave food to Elijah, walked with the three that were delivered from the fiery furnace, and shut the mouths of lions.  They worship God and fight in His service.  Elisha was surrounded with 'horses and chariots of fire' presumably with angels in them.(2 Kings 6)  Angels sing, roll away stones, trouble water, open prison doors (leading prisoners out), and rejoice when a sinner repents.  They ministered to Jesus and will accompany Him when He returns.

In the book of Revelation they also blow trumpets, pour out vials, burn incense, toss a millstone, chain satan and measure the walls of New Jerusalem.  While they are said to be 'flying through the midst of heaven' there is no mention of wings.  Moreover, there is evidence to suggest that these 'angels' are not holy angelic spirits at all, but men - specifically prophets.  [See "Angels or Messengers"]

Only two holy angels are named in Scripture.  Gabriel appears in Daniel and is God's messenger to Zachariah and Mary in Luke.  Michael, the only other named holy angel, is the only arch-angel mentioned..  Any other supposed angelic names or ranks are purely conjecture or tradition.  The name 'satan' or adversary, is given to the fallen angel many call Lucifer.  Lucifer, however, is simply a Latin word for 'light bearer' - the literal text of the original Hebrew of Isaiah 14:12

Not once is an angel mentioned or described as being of the female gender.  There is a reference to females with wings [Zechariah 5:5] but since Zechariah was talking to an angel, one could safely assume he didn't recognize these winged women as angels.

And speaking of wings - Seraphim [Isa 6:2] and Cherubim [Ex 25:20, Ex 37:9, Eze 10:5, etc] have wings - but angels, apparently, do not.  Nor do they look like chubby babies.  Angels look like men, according to the Scriptures.  They are spirit beings but they can appear in corporeal bodies.  In Hebrews 13:2 it says "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."  this could only happen if angels look like men.

Now, you may say "But God can do what He want's and the Bible doesn't say there CAN'T be female angels or angels with wings."  That is like saying that because the Bible talk about 'extraterrestrials' from outer space that they are OK to mess with.  Of course, some people believe that, too.  But God gives us guidelines and principles in the Scripture.  Anything that goes outside of what is revealed in Scripture must be viewed with a lot of skepticism.  God has two or three witnesses for His doings.  Female angels, as well as the idea of angels having wings, are taken from medieval Catholic tradition, not Scripture.

Angels were all created by God to serve Him.  Some rebelled with satan and are now evil.  Evil angels will try to pass themselves off a God's angels to deceive people.  That is why it is so vitally important to seek Scriptural guidance for anything 'angelic' that we might experience.  And that brings us to the so-called 'angelic' happenings of today.

Colossians 2:18-19  Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

There are so many people who are having what they claim to be angelic visitations.  There are myriads of posts on Internet lists and web sites describing spiritual experiences with beings that they claim are God's holy angels.  From all of those, we chose a few examples God drew our attention to, that were typical of many others.  We could have used others, easily, but we used these few that we were familiar with, rather than searching out others.  To try to thoroughly cover even half of the many available would probably fill a library.

These examples were posted on public sites and lists on the Internet.  The links in this examination goes to where we have saved the pages and posted them on our own web site.  However, each page includes a link to the original web page on the original site at the bottom of the example page.  All these links were active as of the time we wrote this.  This examination has been sent to the people / person concerned in the examples, if we could find their email.  Some may object to our naming names outright.  There is no Scriptural basis for such objections.  Paul did not hesitate to name names, nor did John.  It is useless to warn of danger if you do not name the source.

We hope you will keep an open mind and prayerfully consider what we have to say.  As with any teaching, we hold it up to Scripture to see if it is correct.

Example One:  The following excerpts are from a teaching entitled "OPENING OUR EYES TO THE ANGELIC REALM" by Todd Bentley - Web: www.freshfire.ca [his quotes in italics].  It was sent on the Elijah List on Tuesday the 25th of November, 2003.  This 'teaching' is quite typical of the type of information being disseminated in Christian circles today.

"Today I want to focus the teaching on the angelic realm and how you can release angels to fulfill God's word."

It is interesting that Mr. Bentley believes that angels are needed to fulfill God's word, as if God is not capable.  Not only that but he thinks we need to release them.  Since the angels are God's servants, why should we have to do anything?  There is no Scripture to support the concept of 'releasing' angels.  This is a totally extra-Biblical idea.

"We're in need of reinforcements in the Western Church to neutralize the demonic assignments and backlash that is causing pastors and leaders to burn out. I believe that this message will prophetically call forth reinforcements in the angelic realm and bring healing to many who are under attack."

Now, angels may indeed fight demons, but why do we need angels to fight demons for us?  Jesus said "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." [Luke 10:19] He also said "And as ye go, preach, saying,  The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."[Matthew 10:7-8]  Notice there is no mention of angels in these commands.  Nor does Jesus ever enlist the aid of angels in His encounters with demons.

"God also wants to reopen the spiritual realm to those who have at one time had angelic encounters but were afraid because they didn't understand that level of prophetic revelation. Some of you have had frequent heavenly experiences but didn't know who to tell or what to do with it. Others have been shut down and have been afraid to speak about prophetic encounters."

Why no mention of TRYING (TESTING) the SPIRITS as we  are told in Scripture? [1 John 4:1]  Is every supernatural encounter from God?  Did Daniel have any trouble finding out - from God - what to do with his 'heavenly experiences' or who to tell?  Apparently not, since we have the book of Daniel.

"I've also had an angel by the name of Revelation visit me. This angel came to me looking like a pillar of light - its personality is like Wisdom in the book of Proverbs. Every time this angel has come to me, he has come like a child. Although innocent like a child, this angel possessed strength, authority and power. At times, it will actually come like the Spirit of truth and bring me into different visions and prophetic experiences. Now, you need to realize that I didn't go looking for an angel. I didn't say, "Hey angels, come to my house." "

Now here is where Mr. Bentley really gets himself in trouble.  He should have remembered the above admonition to test the spirits.

This 'angel' has some very odd characteristics.  First of all, never does an 'angel' appear as a 'pillar of light' in Scripture.  They appear as men.  Remember the only angel's names in Scripture are Gabriel and Michael.  These are quite ordinary names, like the names of people.  They are not functions or labels, unlike this supposed angel called 'Revelation.'  There is NO Scriptural precedent for this type of angelic name, but the idea abounds in the 'prophetic' circles.

Here he has a supposed 'holy' angel by the name of "Revelation" and he states "At times, it will actually come like the Spirit of truth and bring me into different visions and prophetic experiences."  The Spirit of Truth is the HOLY SPIRIT - and it is the Holy Spirit that gives us revelation. Now since when do holy angels pretend to be God?  NEVER!  The only beings besides men that pretend they are the Holy Spirit are fallen angels/demons.  Guess what spirit lies to you and comes as an angel of light, but is in fact a deceiver?

Mr. Bentley says :"Now, you need to realize that I didn't go looking for an angel. I didn't say, "Hey angels, come to my house.", but look at following prayer:

He states: "I have also asked God to send angels to work in my life and ministry: "God, I love to feel the presence of the angels that are around your throne. Your word says that angels encamp around those who fear You. I would like to feel that angels are encamping around me. It would be great to have the experience of what I know I have because the Bible says I have it. It would be awesome to feel the angelic presence in my house and meetings and to have others in meetings say, 'Man, there were angels in that service.'" "

Note that Mr. Bentley knows that he should NOT seek angelic visitations.  Yet in his prayer, it certainly looks to us as though he was actively seeking angels.  It seems that he was wanting angels to come to his house.  This is called a contradiction.

This is a combination of pride and idolatry.  Pride because people say 'good things' about his meetings. Mr. Bentley has made these supposed holy angels into idols, seeking them, and listening to their lies without discernment.  Why?  Keep going ...

"Our world has an increased interest in the supernatural and in angels."

Yes we agree.  There are lots of New Ager types, along with liberal so-called Christians, who are obsessed with anything related to 'angels.'   Mr. Bentley sounds just like the world.

James 4:4-6  Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:  "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

"Angels are common and very real throughout Scripture and are becoming more and more common for Christians today. In the bible, we read about an angel visiting Peter in prison. While in the lion's den, Daniel had a visitation of an angel."

If you read the Scripture you will notice that angelic visitations, when you look at the time periods in between them, were actually very rare.  Even if you include the 'angel of the LORD' references, there are 111 occurrences of the word angel in the Old Testament, and 179 in the New Testament.  Some of these are repeats of the same incident and some may be mistranslated.  Even so, that is a total of 290 mentions of 'angel' in over 6000 years of human history.  That is a rate of 1 occurrence every 20+ years.  That is hardly common.

If you are a true believer, you have the Holy Spirit in you, therefore you have direct communication with Him.  Why do we need to have angels to tell us things, especially the sort of things they supposedly tell people today?  Why would God send angels to do the Holy Spirit's job?

"Also, Joshua, Gideon and Zachariah had angelic visitations."

According to the Strong's concordance the word 'angel' does not appear in the book of Joshua.  Perhaps Mr. Bentley is referring to this:

Joshua 5:13-15  And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?" Then the Commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy." And Joshua did so.

This is no angel, but is God Himself.  Notice He accepts the worship.  A holy angel never accepts worship from men.

"What about Jesus? Jesus had a visitation of angels at his birth after His 40-day fast, at His betrayal and when He was arrested. Angels visited Jesus at His resurrection and His ascension... and they will be present again at his second coming. Did you know that angels were important in the ministry of Jesus? Why did angels visit Jesus so often at vital times in His life?"

Jesus did NOT have a visitation of angels at His birth.  The angels 'visited' the shepherds, not Jesus.

Luke 2:6-18  6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.10 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.11 "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.12 "And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us."16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

"Jesus had a visitation of angels ... at His betrayal"

This is also in error, unless perhaps Mr. Bentley is referring to Satan as the 'angel' at Jesus' betrayal?  Satan is the only supernatural being, besides Jesus, that Scripture identifies as being there.

John 13:26-27  Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it." And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."

"Jesus had a visitation of angels ... when He was arrested."

This is not true.  At his arrest, Jesus said "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?  But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?   Matthew 26:53-54

But there were no angels there.

"Angels visited Jesus at His resurrection and His ascension... "

As for angels 'visiting' Jesus at His resurrection and His ascension Scripture does not say that.  It only states they were there after the fact.  Anything else is pure speculation.

"Sometimes the presence or visitation of an angel in a place is to express God's favor and to endorse whatever is happening at the time. That's why, in recent years, angels have been sighted during supernatural outpourings like in Albany, Oregon during the healing revival and in other places in the Pacific North West and California."

This is not anywhere in the Scripture.  Angels are ministering spirits or else they are sent to deliver a message from Almighty God.  Not once are they sent 'endorse' anything.  But here we see why Mr. Bentley really wants angels at his meetings - he thinks that angelic visitations puts God's stamp of approval on him.  The question is, are they God's angels?

"AN ANGEL CALLED HEALING REVIVAL"
"In our ministry over the last year, this angel has come frequently and on many different occasions. When He comes I get a gift - the ability to diagnose people's sicknesses with my left hand. At times this angel brings words of knowledge; I get very accurate details from God including people's first, middle and last names as well as nicknames, the year they were injured, the color of their vehicle and the state they are from. Many other people have also seen or had contact with this angel in the meetings. And whenever this angel shows up the miracles go off the charts. Instead of a few healings, we'll get three blind eyes in one night or maybe a cripple guy gets out of a wheel chair."

Again, there is no Scripture that shows angels with the types of names Mr. Bentley and others give them.  There is also no Scriptures that shows angels bringing words of knowledge or miracles.  Angels DO NOT bring gifts.  The gifts are from and through the Holy Spirit, in both the Old and New Testaments.  Prophecy and healings, even when Jesus did them, were performed by the Holy Spirit, not angels.

Mr. Bentley trots out the pool of Bethesda as his 'proof' of angels bringing healing - but the Scripture DOES NOT say that the angel did anything but stir the waters.  God is the one who heals.

"I believe the angel showed up in Albany as a sign that God was endorsing what was taking place and that it was opening up a healing well."

God is not endorsing people or ministries ministry with angelic visitations.  That is pure fantasy to justify their errors.  From the errors that Mr. Bentley and many others teach, it is apparent that they actually do not read/study Scripture for the truth, but rely on their own intellectual understanding.  Don't be fooled by apparent popularity, money/offerings, conferences, etc.  We doubt that God is actually behind most of these manifestations.

Mark 13:5-6
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6 For many shall come in my name, saying,  I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:24   "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Example Two: It is amazing what people have accepted in the way of 'angelic' experiences.  One of the promoters of 'angelic' happenings is Minister Carl W. Hahn, Jr., 423 North State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43082, angelprecious@juno.com or Phone: 1.614.882.8330.  He claims to have had numerous visitations of an angel called 'Precious' who seems to be assigned to him personally.  He wrote three books about his experiences - AWAKENED BY AN ANGEL, A BRIGHTER LIGHT and EDITED BY AN ANGEL where he describes these visitations.  The examples we will use were posted on the Yahoo group called Watchmen-Prophets-Assembly or WPA moderated by Stephen Benning.  Many of them were sent to Mr. Benning by Sharon Rose Peszek, whose comments are sometimes included in the posts containing Mr. Hahn's writings.

On WPA-Discussions, an offshoot of the WPA, one member of the list asks a simple question about Mr. Hahn:
Am I the only one who has a problem with an angel and the Holy Spirit conversing at the same time with a person?  It makes me wonder why 2 are required.  And since God knows all, why an angel would speak when God is present.  Maybe I am the only one who has trouble with this.

Mr Benning posted a reply to this question on Watchmen-Prophets-Assembly, message #8040 on Tuesday June 3, 2003.  It reads, in part:

Now, God is sending messages through another one of His more unusual methods.  It is a challenging method.  The angel names are very dainty and delicate sounding.  Carl Hahn has been given a new name:  Bartholomew. [Actually, it is PRINCE Bartholomew]  The Holy Spirit speaks very clearly to Carl Hahn.  Carl Hahn has been seeing and hearing these angels for years:  every single day.  This is STRETTTTCCCCHIIIIINNNNG folks.  A lot of people have a big enough problem with that, I am quite sure.  But in this case, the angels come to Carl Hahn, and tell him that the Holy Spirit has a message.  Or, they wake him up at strategic times.  Yes, this method is a very challenging method.  I wonder why God is reverting to His old patterns of sending a message through an easily rejected method:  a very challenging method.

It is as troublesome as babbling, stammering tongues.  It bothers me as much as a Son of God who appears to the casual observer to be a bastard son with no inheritance in Israel.  A bastard son did not even have the right to go to the top of the temple mount.  Yes, this business of angels and Carl Hahn is just as challenging as modern day prophets speaking God's word.  How do we sort the false prophets out from the true….better just throw them all in the garbage can…right?

To such people, there is no way that God could ever send an angel to tell them anything.  Unbelief cuts off the method.  Unbelief will keep you from speaking in tongues, hearing God, receiving a prophet..etc.  It will keep you from hearing anything through pastor and prophet Carl Hahn, through Precious and through the Holy Spirit.

Your view is very clearly at odds with scripture, yet you hold to it, and I have to speak like this because I do not want your errant view to infect others.  Angels do visit human beings in New Testament times and give them direction.  They speak to people.  We have had this discussion fully before.  Why digress?

God has chosen Carl Hahn, an elder pastor and a prophet, as a vessel through whom he is revealing some very valuable information.  I know that you don't have ears to hear it.  I hope and pray that you don't convince anyone else to stop up their ears as well.  Unbelief has a way of spreading like an infectious disease.

I have already personally applied one of the things that I have learned from my study of the things that Carl Hahn has received.  I have been greatly blessed, and one other household has been blessed as well.  There is good fruit coming from this information.  God has clearly spoken to me about it.  It is very good.  It is scriptural in the message.  Very edifying!

This is the way many of the 'angelic visitation crowd reacts to simple queries.  He and one other household has been 'blessed' and that is 'fruit' as far as he is concerned.  Mr. Benning states "Your view is very clearly at odds with scripture, yet you hold to it, and I have to speak like this because I do not want your errant view to infect others."  But, the fact is, the question was NOT at odds with Scripture.  An angel talked to Cornelius (an unbeliever) but the Holy Spirit communicated to Peter in a vision.  NEVER in the Scripture does an angel tell anyone that the Holy Spirit wants to talk to them.  Nor does the Holy Spirit "in the form of a dove descend ... and take a brooding position " on anyone's forehead in order to be able to communicate with them.  Yet Mr. Hahn repeatedly refers to these occurrences.

In another post #7827  Mr. Hahn reports the following:
Carl W. Hahn:  "The experiences were new to me, but I knew in my inner spirit that Our Father was not doing anything that had not already been REVEALED in His Word in the Bible.  This is night-day one thousand seven hundred thirteen that I am seeing the spirit light beings of [holy] angels.  Even now if something new happens in these experiences, I do not accept the NEW are REAL until You [HS] lead me to Scripture to support the experience." (Emphasis ours)

Later he reports the following as the words of the Holy Spirit:
"This I most important to understand as Satan is trying to use the idea of NEW TRUTH to cause division and confusion in Your Lord's Church. Every dream and vision that I [HS] give, every action that I [HS] do through one of the nine Holy Spirit Gifts, will always have a Scriptural basis if it is truly from ME [HS]." (Emphasis Mr. Hahn's)

Clearly Carl Hahn knows that he is supposed to weigh his experiences by the Scripture.  He even claims that he does.  But does he, really?

In post #7889 Mr. Hahn makes the following claim:
In a few seconds I saw that Precious and Wonderful were standing by me.  Then I saw two more angels standing by me and four by my wife.  The first thing Precious did was to introduce me to my two other Guardian Angels and my wife's four Guardian Angels.  I then knew the names of all our Guardian Angels.  The names of my four Guardian Angels are Precious, Wonderful, Bartholomew and Peter.   The names of my wife's four Guardian Angels are Holy Holy, Holy, Mary and Ruth.

Many speculate about 'guardian angels' but they are never precisely mentioned in Scripture.  But, as noted before, the angels whose names were given had normal, Hebrew names - Michael and Gabriel.  Even so, one might accept 'Precious' and 'Wonderful' as names, albeit weird ones.  'Holy' and 'Holy Holy' are on the far extreme of weird, to say the least.  But 'Mary' and 'Ruth' are either gay angels or females.  And NEITHER is acceptable according to Scripture.

A very interesting idea is mentioned in post #8073 :
Precious:  "The house in which you and your wife are now living is now an Angel Guest House.  We are now moving all the activities we had at your previous house, across the driveway to this house in which you are now living.  This includes the Angel Field Hospital which will be in the two upstairs guest bedrooms, and, the Legion of Angels doing daily spiritual warfare at the abortion clinic about three miles from here, will again be in your back yard."

This is further explored in post #8096 :
Holy Spirit:  "First of all, I [HS] want you to observe some of the wounded angels coming in from spiritual warfare on this Saturday night and going to the Angel Field Hospital now located in your south guest bedroom.  Note that not only do they appear tired, but compared to the brightness of a bolt of lightning, their light forms are very dim.  The reason is that they expend a lot of energy in spiritual warfare.

"The demons, fallen angels, also have the quality of energy.  This is why Satan and demons can shoot fiery darts at you Born Again believers.  [See Ephesians 6:16]  Now please note this.  When angels defeat demons in spiritual warfare, there is something very important which happens.  The angels draw the energy out of the demons and then the demons are no longer able to continue the spiritual warfare battle.

"The final point to mention is that the praise and worship of you Born Again Christians is an important factor in this matter.  Consider for example the angels around your house.  The Legion of Angels encamping in your back yard who do daily spiritual warfare at an abortion clinic about two miles from your house are one example.  The daily times of praise that you and your wife have each morning raised the energy level of these angels for their spiritual warfare.  The wounded angels coming into the Angel Field Hospital in your guest bedroom is another example.  These angels leave a spiritual warfare battle when their energy level becomes low.  Your praising of the Lord and your playing of Christian music helps to renew and raise the energy level of these wounded angels."

Where is any of this in Scripture?  Nowhere.  While all of this may sound wonderful in a book by Frank Peretti, we remind you that Peretti is FICTION, not theology.  Why would God have to put angel legions in someone's back yard?  Why would angels need to recuperate at all, much less in someone's house?  In Daniel 10 the angel that speaks to him had been fighting with the prince of Persia for 21 days and had to have Michael help him.  Yet the angel shows neither any sign of damage or weariness.  In fact, the angel intends to go right back into the fight when he leaves Daniel.  And even if you assume any of this is accurate, is Heaven not good enough for angels to abide in or 'recuperate' in?

Note also this remark, reportedly from the Holy Spirit [HS] "When angels defeat demons in spiritual warfare, there is something very important which happens.  The angels draw the energy out of the demons and then the demons are no longer able to continue the spiritual warfare battle."

This idea abounds in the New Age teachings.  One could ask, HOW does a 'holy' angel 'draw the energy out' of a demon?  What does the angel do with this energy?  Is this 'evil' energy or 'good' energy or just 'energy' that is the same in the angel or the demon?  This sounds more like Star Wars than Scripture.

In yet another post #8205 this is stated:

Precious:  "Our Father assigned Angels Green Pastures and Still Waters to you to assist Holy Spirit in directing you to understand the Word Of Our Father that you have been given authority by Our Father to preach and teach."

And later:
Holy Spirit:  "Since I [HS] am actually the One [HS] who gives you the authority to preach Our Father's Word, you should be preaching My [HS] opinion of Our Father's Word.  One of the roles of Angel Green Pastures is to help Me [HS] guide you in receiving My [HS] opinion of Our Father's Word."

The angels DO NOT teach in the Scriptures.  It is the job of the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth.  Does God - the Holy Spirit - need assistance from ANGELS to teach us?  Not according to John (1 John 2:27).  Also, [HS]states: "you should be preaching My [HS] opinion of Our Father's Word." - Does the 'opinion' of the Holy Spirit differ from the 'opinion' of the Father?

This spirit that identifies itself as the Holy Spirit is designated [HS] by Mr. Hahn.  It refers to God the Father as "Our Father" yet calls Jesus "Your Lord" and consistently puts itself forward by statements like "I [HS] am actually the One [HS] who gives you the authority to preach Our Father's Word" among others.  Is God the Father a 'father' to the Holy Spirit?  If so, since Jesus is the only begotten Son of God would that make the Holy Spirit and Jesus brothers?  And would the Holy Spirit that Jesus spoke of in John 16:13 assert His own authority in this manner?  Jesus said "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Are you still wondering if these things are visitations of the holy angels and Holy Spirit of the infallible God?

Take a look at post #7917 in which the following statements are made:
"Current Comment By Precious:  "I notice that you humans have a strong taste for such things as coffee our other favorite foods.  But the tastes that you will experience in Heaven will be far superior to those you are tasting on earth.  Especially, the twelve fruits on the Tree of Life.  Some of the things that people taste on earth will not be in Heaven.  For example, there will not be any beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages in Heaven.  The reason is simple.  There will not be any earthly AIR in Heaven which is necessary for the fermentation process to take place.""

Jesus said "I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." Matt 26:29, Mark 14:25, Luke 22:18  Now, one could argue over this example - the 'wine versus grape juice' controversy has raged for years.  One could also quibble over what time or place 'my Father's Kingdom' entails.

But now let's go to post #7893 in which the following statements are made:
"Holy Spirit:  "A few weeks ago Our Father expressed concern to you that there are now several pastors in the denomination of your childhood and youth who are beginning to suggest that Christ may not be the only way to contact the Supreme Being, Our Father.  They are beginning to allow for the possibility that the Supreme Being may be contacted by a person following the teachers of Mohammed, Buddha, Shinto, Confucius and other historical religious leaders.  Our Father is concerned about this."

After Holy Spirit finished His communication, Precious again came to my side and talked.

Precious:  "I have never met Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius or Shinto.  I heard about them during previous assignments on Planet Earth.  I learned about them when you studied your courses on world religions in college and seminary.  But I have not seen any of them in Heaven.""

Note that the Holy Spirit refers to 'Shinto' as a 'historical religious leader' while Precious says he has never seen 'Shinto' in Heaven.  The problem here is that 'Shinto' is not a proper name -
SHINTO which literally means 'the way or teaching of the gods (kami)' is the loosely organized, indigenous religious cult of Japan.  This designation arose in order to distinguish the traditional religion from Buddhism when the latter was introduced to Japan in the 6th century AD.  While Shinto has no founder, no official sacred scriptures, and no dogma, it has preserved its ethos throughout the ages.
Encyclopedia Britannica - Vol 20, Pg. 395, Col A - published 1969 by William Benton, Publisher

There is no leader who gave the name to the cult of Shinto.  Therefore, 'Shinto' was not a historical religious leader or a person that could have been in Heaven.  How is it that the Encyclopedia Britannica was aware of this, but the 'Holy' Spirit and the 'holy' angel were NOT?

Furthermore, another one of these of these supposed 'visitations' was posted as message #8053 Watchmen-Prophets-Assembly group.  It was posted by Stephen L. Bening on Tuesday June 3, 2003 under the subject of  "Carl Hahn, H.S. & H.A. Visit, Musicians, Music, Temple & Glory Cloud"

"Day One Thousand Four Hundred Sixty  Precious awakened me at 1:49 AM.  After we exchanged greetings Precious told me that Holy Spirit had a portrait and a communication for me.  Then I saw my vision of Holy Spirit in the form of a dove descend to me and take a brooding position on my forehead and I received the following…

Holy Spirit:  "Tonight I [HS] am beginning by communicating about two Biblical terms.  First of all, I [HS] had the Apostle Timothy of the Bible use the term inspiration or inspired to state how the writers of the Bible received the words they wrote.  They wrote down words in their minds that they knew were put there by Me [HS] .  [See 2 Timothy 3:16.]  The Bible is referred to as Our Father's Written Word."

In Mr. Hahn's writings, the notation [HS] indicates the Holy Spirit.  Note what the Holy Spirit says here:"First of all, I [HS] had the Apostle Timothy of the Bible use the term inspiration or inspired to state how the writers of the Bible received the words they wrote.  They wrote down words in their minds that they knew were put there by Me [HS] .  [See 2 Timothy 3:16.]

2 Timothy 3:16-17 reads "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Now, we do not doubt that the Holy Spirit inspired these words from the Bible.  Nor do we necessarily disagree with Timothy being an apostle.  Unfortunately - for Mr. Hahn at least - these words were written by the Apostle PAUL - not Timothy.  The spirit '[HS]' and the 'holy' angel (or Mr. Hahn for that matter) apparently did not know this.  Obviously the REAL Holy Spirit does.  The unholy spirit - [HS] - masquerading as the Holy Spirit clearly says the erroneous statement that "I [HS] had the Apostle Timothy of the Bible use the term inspiration or inspired to state how the writers of the Bible received the words they wrote."

One has to wonder how many 'Christians' have paid to be deceived by his books and booklets at $12.00 to $12.95 apiece?  Assuming his accounts are factual, Carl Hahn is consorting with spirits, but they are not holy in any sense of the word.  As we have clearly shown, the oddities of these encounters are numerous, but this one example suffices to show the source of these 'revelations' of Mr, Hahn's.  Yet his experiences are passed around Christian circles and accepted as valid by the undiscerning.  Sharon Rose Peszek says in post # 7917 "Saints, i know we can discern that Mr. Hahn is of the God and of the Holy Bible, mature in the things of God, of the GOOD Godly TREE." and Stephen Benning in post # 8040 says "The messages through the angels, and through the Holy Spirit, as they are ministering through Carl Hahn, are very critical and important information, sent by God to help His saints in this very hour.  This information will make the difference in many lives between overcoming and falling away in the hour of great trial that has come upon the Earth.  This is what the Holy Spirit is saying to me right now."  Obviously, their discernment leaves a lot to be desired.  To study the appearances and functions of angels take time and effort, but it takes only a simple reading of the Bible to know that the Apostle Timothy didn't write Second Timothy.

Example Three:  Since October of 2003, Reverend Susan Cummings has released a series of posts recounting various angelic experiences.  The first of these we will examine is from a 'vision' originally published as 'Two Warnings From The Lord' dated Nov 20, 2003 and republished in 'NY Meeting Notes and Visitations accounts' August 12, 2004.  'Patrick' is Pastor Patrick O'Marra who apparently participates in ministry with Reverend Cummings.

The Angel named Holiness:

I am downstairs lying in my bed. The Lord has been coming and I saw the Lord come to America. The first thing I saw is Patrick standing at the head of America. The Angel Holiness is standing next to him. I hear the Lord say, "My Angel Holiness has begun at the head and will go all across America, and His people will learn righteousness and they will be Holy. For He has released His Holiness this day in the earth and will hit America and it will be a terrible birth.

The Angel named Terrible:

There is another angel standing next to Patrick. His name is Terrible, His name is Terrible, His name is Terrible. His face is like lightning, and thunder. The Lord says, "His angel Terrible will walk hand in hand with the angel Holiness all across this land. The Lord says, "Holiness." They will see Him and they will know Him as Holy and as Terrible. For the Fear of the Lord has begun to be poured out. Both angels will walk the height and depth and width and breadth of the land.

, "Two angels with two warnings have now been sent and now they have been released. At My command they have went across the land. For I have now finished the day of their release. So, be careful how you receive Me, the Lord says, for I am Holy and I am Terrible, and you will know Me as both. For I stand at the head of the waters and I will flow down the entire land. For both of My angels now stand with open hands, and they will now mark the hearts of men."

Note how, although each 'angel' is given a name and clearly identified as an angel, the attributes of these angels are all mixed up with God and what God is doing.  These are NOT the 'Angel of the Lord', but simply 'angels.'  Note that 'the Lord' says "My Angel Holiness has begun at the head and will go all across America, and His (Angel Holiness') people will learn righteousness and they will be Holy. For He (Angel Holiness) has released His (Angel Holiness') Holiness this day in the earth and will hit America and it will be a terrible birth."  Isn't it God's people and God's holiness?

Also note what 'The Lord says' and see how it starts with angels, goes to God, then back to angels again.  This confusion of identities is not Scriptural.

In The Angel named, 'Revival Fire' you see again the idea of naming the 'angel' with the attribute it is supposed to possess.  You also see how it is all mixed up with God's attributes.

"... Prophetess Susan Cummings prophecies: "I see an angel standing by my book case ..., his name is Revival Fire, and he has, he is Fire. I mean he, you can just feel the Fire on him, you can't get very close because God's Revival Fire is Holy, and the presence of him is just very humbling, you know, but he's very, very fierce, not a warrior but more of a authority, he the one that comes whenever Revival is released in different regions or nations, he's the angel that comes.

You know, he has curly hair, I've never seen one, an angel, with curly hair, he has dark hair, curly."

Patrick says, "It's happening to me again, the Fire, it happen to me when he (the angel, Revival Fire) came, he is connected to the mouth, it's got to be to the Word- it's like Fire. Oh, this Fire is coming all around us, There's a Whirlwind of Fire, there's a whirlwind of Fire around us, it's coming from him, it's a whirlwind of Fire.
"

While the holy angels as portrayed in Scripture are awesome creatures to mere humans, and carry a certain fearsome presence due to their utterly holy nature and the Mighty God they serve, they are not God.  Neither is there ANY indication in Scripture of names and / or functions like the ones they are given here.  Note the comment "(the angel, Revival Fire) ..., he is connected to the mouth, it's got to be to the Word."  Is it not the Holy Spirit who brings God's word to your remembrance? (John 14:26)  And is it not the Holy Spirit who will teach you what to say? (Matthew 10:19-20)

This confusion becomes acute in the matter of Rev. Cummings 'Angel of the covenant' series of revelations.  the following are from "Summarizations of Various Experiences with the Angel of the Covenant and the message he comes with." dated May 10, 2004.  The dream that starts the series is dated 4/22/03.

"The Lord then says,

"My angel has come down to earth, and has come into the midst of My Own, and shall stand with them, while I pass by. For I now have passed over My People, and now I will pass over the earth, and it will disclose it's blood. I required blood to be shed for the life of Mine Own, so that I might pass over with My Mercy, and now I will require blood for the earth.

For the Trumpet has already sounded, and the hosts are in place, and the righteous have assembled at My Call. Now I have required that My Justice be meted……

I have sent My Angel of the Covenant to you. He stands in the Holy Place, and shall remain there until I have passed by, and He will cover My Own, and be with you until the end. My Holy Fire has been released, and it comes to stand before you as a witness."

Then, on 04/24/03 Rev. Cummings, while offering "Clarification on the Angel (Messenger) of the Covenant Dream" gives the following:

"In Malachi 3: The scriptures speak of the Lord's angel (Messenger) coming to the Lord's people. This angel is sent forth to usher in a period of refining and cleansing in the people, and also to usher in the plans and purposes of the Lord in their midst.

Malachi 3

1BEHOLD, I send My [1] messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the [2] Messenger or Angel of the covenant, Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts.(1)
"

Clearly Rev. Cummings connects the Angel of the Covenant mentioned in Malachi to the one in her dream.  Just as clearly, by her own Scripture citation "And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the [2] Messenger or Angel of the covenant ..."  The Angel of the Covenant is the Messiah, that is , Jesus Christ.

So, has Jesus come down to earth as the dream says?  Has Jesus - as of 4/22/03 - come into the midst of My [The Lord's] Own, and shall stand with them?  Jesus said "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."  Has Jesus - as of 4/22/03 - Been sent and stands in the Holy Place, and shall remain there until I have passed by, and He will cover My Own, and be with you until the end?  Jesus promised "lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."  Hebrews 9:12 tells us that "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."  Hebrews 9:25-26 asserts "Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;  For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself."  Did this just happen - as of 4/22/03?  Or did it happen at the cross?

At the end of her dream of 4/22/03, Rev. Cummings notes the following Scriptures:  Daniel 4:22-26, Jeremiah 4:22-26, Matthew 4:22-26, as well as the date, 4-22-03, and time, 4:22 am - obviously drawing a prophetic correlation to it.

Later, on 4/24/03, she says "In the dream, I listed three sets of scriptures that the Lord had quickened to me.  Namely, Daniel 4:22-26  Jeremiah 4:22-26  Matthew 4:22-26- Which is incorrect, it should be 5:22-26"  Oops, looks like God quickened the wrong Scriptures.

Also on 4/24/03, Rev. Cummings asserts: "Revelation 10 also speaks of the Angel of the Covenant."  She quotes Revelation 10:1-7 where an angel is mentioned, but the term 'covenant' is not.  How does Rev. Cummings come to her conclusion that this Scripture speaks of the Angel of the Covenant?  Or, more to the point, why?

"On March 28, 2004, Prophetess Susan Cummings saw a vision of the door of Heaven standing open over Pastor Patrick O'Marra and a Light shining down, in front of him."

"Susan said, "A ball of Light has come in the room and this ball of Light is, there's lightning shooting out of it and the Light is so bright, it's white but it's like Fire and lightning is shooting out of it and it's making this noise like Maria makes, that noise, the wings of the Cherubims, and this ball of Light, the Light is so bright and the lightning is streaking out of it and it's making that noise Maria makes.

An Angel is stepping out of it, it's the Angel of the Covenant and He has a book in His hand. He's giving us the book, He says, "I make My Covenant with you." I see Him giving you (Patrick) the book and I see Him saying to you: "You will write the vision for you stand in My Light." Patrick, He's giving you that book, your standing in this pillar of Light and He's handing you the book and He's saying, "Write the vision for it is My Covenant and it's Time to write it, it's Time for the Word to come forth and to become and to be done!"

"Take it out of His hands." This is part of the fulfillment of the prophecy written in Revelation 10:1-11.
"

Now we know why Revelation 10 was important.

One must wonder what covenant this angel is making that is synonymous with this vision?  Is the New Covenant in Jesus' blood suddenly not enough?

Revelation 10 comes up yet again:
"Then, on April 1, 2004, Susan saw another vision of the Angel of the Covenant as they were driving to a meeting to Naples, NY.

He rose straight up out of the sea of water, and had a bright sun that shone around His head and face. He had His right hand raised to Heaven, and swore by Him who sat on the throne, and said, "That which was, and that which is, and that which is to come, now shall be, for the Father will now be glorified through thee." The vision ended. Revelation 10   Daniel 12   Malachi 3
"

Note that the Angel of the Covenant "rose straight up out of the sea of water, and had a bright sun that shone around His head and face."  In Revelation 10 the angel comes down from heaven and set his right foot upon the sea.  A rainbow was upon (around) his head, and his face was as it were (like) the sun.  There is no case of an angel rising up out of the sea, but a 'beast' does, in both Daniel and Revelation.  These two 'visions' are not the same.

No mention of 'angel' - save Michael specifically - or 'covenant' is in Daniel 12.

On April 11, 2004, Susan Cummings again saw the Angel of the Covenant while driving to the airport.  First the following occurred:
"Susan said, "Now this is weird, there is an angel on top of the van, he's sitting on the luggage rack with a harp in his hands, he's on top, he's got a white garment on, he's got a gold sash, belt, he got not really blonde but kind of burnished gold hair, it's a big harp, kind of that kind they have in the orchestra, he's playing the harp," Patrick said, "This is the angel that appeared to me on November 2, 2000, he was behind the veil with his arm across the strings about the play the harp, that veil has now been removed, that veil was removed on March 11, 2004, and remember I told you that the Lord said, : "The next thing to happen was the angel would now play the harp," which is what your seeing now, so what the Lord said would happen has now happened!" Susan said, "What does that angel do," Patrick said, "He's the angel from Revelation 14:1-3, about the angels harping with their harps on Mount Zion, it just came to me that that scripture I gave you earlier in the prophecy to you, it mentioned about, ye children of Zion, Joel 2:23.""

This is an interesting exchange, with both Reverend Susan Cummings and Pastor Patrick O'Marra claiming divine revelation for their remarks.  Now, angels may or may not ride on vans or play harps.  but Pastor O'Marra says "He's the angel from Revelation 14:1-3, about the angels harping with their harps on Mount Zion ..."

Let's look at that portion of Scripture: Revelation 14:1-5 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they [the harpers] sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man [not angel] could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.  5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Angels are NOT redeemed from the earth - men are.  Therefore the assertion that the angel was from Revelation 14:1-3 is false.  This is a revelation from God?

March 28, 2004 - Angel of the Covenant gives Patrick the book.
"it's the Angel of the Covenant and He has a book in His hand. ... I see Him giving you (Patrick) the book ... "

April 1, 2004 - Angel of the Covenant makes a proclamation.
"He rose straight up out of the sea of water, and had a bright sun that shone around His head and face. He had His right hand raised to Heaven, and swore by Him who sat on the throne, and said, "That which was, and that which is, and that which is to come, now shall be, for the Father will now be glorified through thee." The vision ended."

April 11, 2004 - It is now revealed that the Angel of the Covenant had his feet on the land and sea and was holding the book while he made the proclamation on April 1, 2004
"See, before, He had one foot on the land and one on the sea and He was holding the book, and he swore by the Father, that which was, and that which is, and that which is to come, is now to be, for the father now will be glorified thru thee, that was the announcement."

"Patrick it's open, the book is opened, He reading them now, He said, "All things must now be fulfilled," well now from the opened book He is speaking them forth, so not only is He walking, the Lord walking in the earth, He is now speaking those final things so they can now be accomplished, that had been sealed up in Daniel, and in Revelation, is now being spoken, uttered, what was sealed."

In a post called "I forgot to add this one"  dated August 12, 2004, the Angel of the Covenant appears once more.  He has the book, but it is different yet again.

"I saw the Angel of the Covenant again. He appeared in front of me. In his hands was the black book. It was opened and he had it facing me. He told me to come closer and to read the book. I came closer to the book.

I saw written on the pages before me the words, "Resurrection Life."

The Angel of the Covenant then said to me, "This book is given to you. Take it and tell My People, that I AM the Resurrection, I AM the Life, I AM the Power. I AM that I AM. All who come to Me are mine, and they will live and abide in Me, and they will stand in Me, and will be one with Me."
"

That book is very versitile, isn't it?

Note that once again the Angel of the Covenant clearly takes the role of Jesus.  Yet, at the start of this series of revelations, the being was simply an 'angel' - a messenger for God, not God, Himself.

Last, but not least, we have the "7-30-04 Visitation from Gabriel:" from the post titled 'NY Meeting Notes and Visitations accounts' dated Aug 12, 2004.

"Then, Gabriel appeared into the room. Susan said he had great white wings that were spread outwards. He then tapped Patrick on the head with his wing. Patrick could feel the wing hitting his head.

Gabriel then spoke to all of us in the room:

He said, "I have been present at every birth since the beginning. I have been present at every release from the Father since time began. For the Father sends me to announce the release of the new at different times in history. Just as you have been shown this night."

"The Father will now lift you up, and you will begin your flight. For He is birthing His Children anew, for they have lined themselves up, and now the Father is now flowing through."

"For the Father has desired this day to come. The angels have awaited this day when the people of God would be released, to usher in this day."

"For the scroll has been opened, as the Father has shown you- and I have been sent to proclaim the release and then to confirm it to you, as you obey. For the hand of the Father has rested on you and it will stay."

"Do not fear the days ahead. For the Father has marked you, and has called you, and has chosen you to run with His Word. For you have embraced the Truth, and the Lovers of the Truth are the ones that the Father will send."

"So know that the Father has sent the full release and I have come from His Throne to show you this day- for it is indeed a new day- that the Father has decreed from the foundation of the world, that you would be birthed into your destiny, and He has placed His Lightning in your hands. For the Light of the Truth now shines through you, and it is alive and living in Me."

"You must release the Truth- You must release God's People- For the Truth now lives through you."

"For Holiness and Terrible walk hand in hand with you, and it's been God's Plan from the beginning. Do not take this day lightly. For the Father only sends me when He births in the earth, and this will be the final birth before He returns."

"It is you that the earth has been waiting for, and yearning for the release of, for you are forerunning My Truth in the earth, and many souls you will birth in the hour of trial."

"For I have called you for this day, and it is by MY Hand you will now run from this moment on."

At attendance during this visitation were: Pastor Patrick O'Marra, Rev. Susan Cummings, Brittany Cummings, Rev. Sharon Sours, Rev. Jean Clark.
"

One more time - No angel in Scripture has wings.  Gabriel appears to Daniel, Zacharias and Mary, and not once are any wings mentioned.

Even allowing the wings, note the statements made by 'Gabriel' in this vision:

"For the Light of the Truth now shines through you, and it is alive and living in Me."
"... you are forerunning My Truth in the earth ..."
"For I have called you for this day, and it is by MY Hand you will now run from this moment on."

Is Jesus not the Truth?  Does He not live in true believers, not angels?  This 'Gabriel' also says "the Truth now lives through you."  We live in and through Jesus, not HE through US.  (Acts 17:28)  Who calls believers?  By whose hand do we stand or fall?  Certainly NOT any angel.  This 'angel' is supposed to be 'Gabriel' and Gabriel neither is equal to God nor can he stand in the place of God.

Note also this remark:
"The Father will now lift you up, and you will begin your flight. For He is birthing His Children anew ..."

Being 'born again' is not enough?  Must we be born again ... again?  How many 'births' do we go through?

Further, 'Gabriel' says:
"For the Father only sends me when He births in the earth, and this will be the final birth before He returns."

So, no more people can be 'born' till Jesus comes?  Physically?  Spiritually?

Look this statement over:
"It is you that the earth has been waiting for, and yearning for the release of, for you are forerunning My Truth in the earth, and many souls you will birth in the hour of trial."

So these 5 - Pastor Patrick O'Marra, Rev. Susan Cummings, Brittany Cummings, Rev. Sharon Sours, Rev. Jean Clark. - are the ones the earth has been waiting for?  Just how will they 'birth' many souls?  Are they God?  Do they send the Holy Spirit?  Can they make a soul born again?

This 'Gabriel' does not say "God says ..."  He says "For I have called you for this day, and it is by MY Hand you will now run from this moment on."  'Gabriel' is not the 'Angel of the Lord' or Jesus in disguise.  He is not even a messenger of God at all.  He is a deceiver.

This is not a minor matter.  As these 'angels' are so clearly NOT God's angels, what are these 'revelations' teaching God's people?  Does the enemy advance the gospel of Jesus Christ?  Paul said "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:8-9)

These errors were not hard to spot.  Sure, it took a bit of time and effort to look up all the Scriptures and see what they said about angels, as opposed to what the popular teachings and visitations claim.  But why is it that it seems no one is willing to "search the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" anymore?  Isn't that what we are ALL supposed to do?

Perhaps the saddest thing about these examples is that the people who have perpetuated these errors all claim some sort of leadership in the Church - apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, or evangelist.  They are not the only ones, by any means.  There are many more, and many of them are world famous on TV and radio.  Many of them write books and sell tapes and videos at their conferences and seminars.  Some of them used to be on the right track, others never had a real clue.  Most of them we cannot help.  They would ignore or reject any counsel - THEY are the leaders, after all.

For your soul's sake, don't just accept ANY revelation, from ANY source, without checking it against Scripture.  There are millions of people who claim the Holy Spirit's inspiration for a million different heresies.  Millions will stand before Jesus and hear " I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."  There is nothing you can do for most of them.  But you can save yourself from that end.  After all, are we not ultimately responsible before God for ourselves?  You will not be able to blame your pastor, the visiting prophet or the angel that appears to you for your errors when you stand before God.

You, however, now have a choice.  You can take this to heart - regardless of how much it might upset your world - or ignore it and write us off as whatever label makes you feel better.  We have done our job, the result is in God's hands.

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Ephesians 6:23-24
