Reunion ~ Part 2 ~

One Year Earlier…

I thrust at Saron with all my strength and spinned around, decking him across the head with my other fist. He stumbled and dealt a swift blow to my gut. I keeled over, and fell to one knee. Guess he is calling it a day. I got back up as he sat down on a bench. “You seem distracted. Whats wrong?” I asked. “Its Soul, Shou. I keep thinking he won’t stand a chance if I don’t help him.” Saron murmured. I chopped down on a cement block shattering it…Last time he left to fight Fire, the dimension almost collapsed on itself, literally! “Well he is too far now to worry about. Besides, if you leave, what will happen to your dimension? I know I can’t keep it up.” I told him. I wish he would just trust in Soul Summoned. But I do fear he is in over his head as well. His eyes widened. Uh oh…he has a thought. “I can’t help him, but you can! Great idea! Follow me!” He said and ran through a doorway to the back of the castle. “But I didn’t…arhg!” I moaned and followed. We approached the monument to Gohkua, Saron’s deceased mentor. He then slid a block aside and there appeared an engraved handprint. “Whats that?” I asked. Of course it could be just an ordinary handprint. “Place your hand on it and find out. I think your ready.” He said, obviously excited. I walked over and made a curious look. He waved for me to continue. I placed my hand down on it and…nothing happened. “Is this a joke?” I demanded. He raised an eyebrow. “Oh, sorry. Forgot the second one.” He said, sort of embarrassed. He slid another stone aside and another handprint appeared. I put my hand down on it and red light rays shot up through my hands. I then felt electricity surge over my body. I slumped over but got back up in a second. “Wow! I feel much more powerful! What the hell did you do to me?” I asked. “That was the energy of the three android Elements I defeated. I was wearing a special pack that would absorb each of their energy everytime they attacked me.” Saron smiled. I balled my fists and powered up. A crater formed under my feet and my energy aura expanded. Dust kicked up and wind almost knocked Saron down. I then let it die down. “Thank you…but whats the catch?” I asked. “I want you to find two of Soul Summoned’s friends and go help him.” Saron said, obviously very serious. I sighed…“OK, but how will we find him?” Saron smiled. “Just bring me his friends and I will explain.” I rolled my eyes and shrugged. “Fine, but this little quest better make me stronger than before.” I powered up and left his dimension. Lets see…White Fire was her name, I think. I’ll get her…

The Convincing…

I landed outside the military camp I stayed the night at before attacking the Tree of Might. I saw her, training her troops to fly. “Alright, just take the energy and push it under your feet…No! Don’t put an energy ball under your feet! Hey you, stop! No no, no, that’s wrong! Arhg, you are all hopeless.” She was shouting left and right, very stressed out. “I don’t think that’s gonna work.” I said and she turned as two guards where crying from their wedgies…I thought it was funny. She smirked…“Shou, right? Listen I don’t have time for your comments Im trying to train these morons.” She then crossed her arms. This will be tough. “I need you to come with me. I need to go help Soul Summoned fight Fire…you know, the android. And Im gonna need help.” I asked…at least I think I asked. She seemed to have lightened up slightly after I said Soul’s name. “Why? I heard he is a super saiyan now. So why don’t you trust him?” She asked. “Hell, I trust him. But my mentor doesn’t. Please, just come and help me. It will be a long journey because we have to find him first, but I’ll be dead if I don’t have anyone to help me find him.” I pleaded. She smiled…“I guess that will be better then training these dumbasses. Alright, Im in.” I was about to get on my knees and beg when I realized she agreed. “Great! Get your travel gear together and leave your wisest person in charge! I’ll be waiting outside.” I then ran outside and waited, of course. An hour later, and very bored, she came with her usual outfit and a giant bag. “A little help here! Be a gentleman and carry this.” She huffed and tossed it on me. “Oph! What the hell is in here, your room?!” I shouted, slowly levitating up. “Yes, now lead the way to this Saron.” She shouted. I took off and she followed. Deep in the forest, a namek was listening in but by force. “What did they say?” Crusher demanded. “They said they are going to find some guy named Soul Summoned.” The namek whined. “Thank you…looks like I got some traveling to do.” He then snapped the namek’s neck like a dry twig. “I’m coming for you little boy…” Crusher then laughed evilly.

Kusanagi Returns

After dropping White Fire off at Saron’s Castle, I went look for the next contestant. After stopping by Trunks’ home, I reconsidered because he was just too young. I slouched onto a bench in a park, ignoring the people who where staring at my green skin. What am I going to do now…damn it, Soul! You need more friends your age…damn loner. “What’s the matter little namek?” an eerie voice said from above and then with a flash Kusanagi was sitting next to me. I shivered but he didn’t scare me as much as the first time we met. “I have to recruit people…for a little trip of mine.” I said and looked at a pidgin on a branch. He spread his arms…“You have found your recruit! Ready to go, sir!” he chuckled. I shrugged, why the hell not. “Ok but have to only absorb enemies we encounter, not us. Got it!” I shouted. He wiped spit off his face. “That was uncalled for. Alright lets go…” He got up as I did…but he blasted the pidgin. “I have to do one more thing before I go!” he said and smiled. I rolled my eyes as he chased a few people around before leaving.

The Ship…Ender Flame

“Alright, here they are. Now what?” I asked and crossed my arms. White Fire was looking around all ditzy-like and Kusanagi went around beating up Saron’s namek guards. Saron was not pleased. “These are the only two you could find? They act younger than their age!” He whispered harshly. I frowned. “Listen, they are exceptional fighters and aren’t like this most of the time…well Kusanagi is, but that’s beside the point. Now tell me how we find Soul and what we’re taking to find him with.” I demanded. Saron glared at me, “Watch your tone. Here is radar that can track Soul’s ship path. Gather your…team, then meet me in the hanger.” He fiercely said and tossed me a round device. I looked at it and put it in my pocket. I then got Kusanagi and White Fire. I had no idea where the hanger was, so I asked a guard. He directed me properly and laughed as he saw Kusanagi carry White Fire’s luggage. “Shut up!” Kusanagi barked. The guard returned to his position quickly. We reached the hanger…it was huge and all but nothing was there. Kusanagi dropped the bags but quickly received a slap upside the head, “Watch it with bags, demon-boy.” She demanded. “You watch it girlie!” Kusanagi snarled. “Shut up, both of you!” I shouted. Suddenly the ground shook and a giant piece of the floor slid open. Then the ship slowly rose. Kusanagi smiled and White Fire looked up in awe. Saron jumped from the top of it and landed in front of us. “”Shou, you are now in command and responsible for the Ender Flame and your team. It has only an autopilot and a computer to warn you of oncoming danger. The ship is mostly machinery and there are 10 rooms, a kitchen, dinning room, cargo bay, wreck room, and main bridge. There is also enough food for a lifetime. I think that’s all I need to tell you. Good luck. Shou just put the radar device in a slot in the bridge. That will make the ship follow Soul’s course…phew, out of breath.” Saron managed to say that all at once without confusing any of us. Kudos for him. We brought all our stuff onboard and began lift off. I looked out the window to see the hanger roof open. Saron waved good-bye and I strapped myself in quickly. As the ship rocketed out into space faster than anything in this galaxy, Kusanagi flew back and slammed into a wall...Guess he forgot to strap in, heh. I pounded the stop button and the jets detached and exploded. I gasped heavily as well as White Fire. Kusanagi just laughed and said, “I think that went well!” But groaned in pain suddenly. I just slid out of my chair and looked outside…into space. I know you’re out there Soul…but I hope you aren’t dead. That would make the trip pointless…

One Year Later: Present Time

Boredom sure does take its toll. It has been one year since we left Earth and the only hostile encounter we have had is with some things called a Were’ Kai. Kusanagi quickly absorbed the group. We would play board games at times but Kusanagi would just get angry and leave. Other than that I was surprised to see how much Kusanagi had changed. From an evil life sucking devil to a careless teen. White Fire and I would talk about the honor system but the conversations where short and brief. I began to worry…we are near my home planet now. He better not be there. I was peacefully drinking my drink when the alarms blared. We found out the ship had alarms after we almost got hit by a comet. I set my drink down and heard White Fire on the speakers, “Shou, great news! We found him!” My eyes widened…maybe a different planet? I walked down the hall and ran into the bridge. A chill went down my back. The planet…my home… Shau will be waiting. “Damn it! Of all the places!” I grumbled under my breath. “What was that?” White Fire asked and turned around. “Nothing…he is here, huh?” I asked trying to make sure. “Yep. The radar thing says his ship is right…there!” she smiled and pointed at the screen. “I’ll go wake Kusanagi…” I said and was about to turn when White Fire said, “Wait…” She chuckled. “What?” I asked, getting frustrated. “…I just had a thought. Strap yourself in, we’re going to land!” A second screen popped up and it showed Kusanagi sleeping…I’m surprised he slept through the alarms. White Fire steered the ship into the atmosphere. The ship began to shake violently and Kusanagi was tossed out of his bed, screaming. I smiled and White Fire laughed. As the ship landed, Kusanagi stormed onto the bridge. “Haha, laugh it up! Just wait, White Fire, you’ll get it!” he roared furiously. White Fire muffled her laugh and I stood up, “We found him.” Kusanagi’s mood drifted from rage to excitement, “About damn time! Hurry, lets get out of this ship! It’s oh so boring!” He yelled and ran out of the bridge to leave. White Fire followed, “Wait up!” I looked outside. Welcome back, eh? Hmph…Night time.
