July 24: And How Was Your Day?

This is how my day went on July 24, 2001. But I have to start on July 23. See, my younger cousin, let's call her Katie, was staying with us for a few days, so we had taken over my brother's bunk beds. I was on the bottom. Of course I was up late, because I had been watching *NSYNC on Jay Leno. I had brought my clock-radio into my brother's room, with the alarm set to wake me up at 7:00 in the morning. But right now, I was watching the minutes go by. 11:56. 11:57. 11:58. 11:59. 12:00! I sat straight up and did a little dance in bed, singing, "It's July 24th! It's July 24th! It's July 24th!" Katie must have thought I was nuts, but she didn't say anything. Then I laid back down and fell asleep. This is how my day went on July 24. It's pretty exact, I was writing it all down as I went along.

7:00 a.m. -- Woke up to my radio alarm. That Sonique song was on, "It Feels So Good." I was hoping for *NSYNC, but hey, it could have been a worse song.

7:10 a.m. -- Woke up my bro and Katie.

7:20 a.m. -- Katie and I ate breakfast. I explained to my mom that I was having Rice Crispies because they 'snap, crackle and *POP!*'

7:30 a.m. -- Woke up my brother again.

7:35 a.m. -- Got dressed, in my *NSYNC shirt from the concert, of course.

7:47 a.m. -- Put my shoes on.

8:10 a.m. -- Finally got in the car.

8:28 a.m. -- "Pop" came on the radio. My brother turned it up.

8:40 a.m. -- Arrived at K-Mart

9:00 a.m. -- After buying underwear, left K-Mart as they hadn't gotten Celebrity in yet!

9:04 a.m. -- Arrived at Wal-Mart.

9:06 a.m. -- Ahh, the glory in front of my eyes. There were tons of copies of the new CD, on a display right in front of the door. My bro ran up and quickly snatched one, and kept on walking. I was supposed to touch it first! Angry that he had ruined my perfect moment, I took it right out of his hand as he was reading the back cover.

9:13 a.m. -- Picked up the latest issue of J-14

9:35 a.m. -- Got in the car and put Celebrity on the system. Ate M&M's through the songs I didn't know.

9:10 a.m. -- Got home.

9:15 a.m. -- Put Celebrity on the stereo, starting out where we had left off when we had to come inside.

9:34 a.m. -- The CD ended. It was great!!!

11:07 a.m. -- Started reading the 'thank you's in the CD booklet.

11:15 a.m. -- Stopped after reading Justin's once, Chris' twice, and skimming the others.

11:25 a.m. -- Began rearranging my CD holder case so *NSYNC would be first.

11:51 a.m. -- Finished rearranging my CDs.

3:00 p.m. -- Went on the internet, updated my site here a little, and talked to some of my fellow *NSYNC fans.

5:00 p.m. -- Finally got offline.

5:10 p.m. -- Studied the pictures in the CD booklet. There's a little picture of a plate of food that's in there twice, it's 6:00 in Justin's picture, there's a guy behind Chris taking his picture, there's a TV in the limo, Justin is standing in front of Hormel Chili, and why the heck is Chris holding his ugly checkered shoe? Shouldn't it be on his foot?

5:16 p.m. -- Read JC, Lance, and Joey's 'thank you's.

5:25 p.m. -- Began to play the CD for a while and read the words to study them.

8:30 p.m. -- Listened to most of the CD again.

9:11 p.m. -- Went on the internet to check my site and talk to more *NSYNC fans.

10:30 p.m. -- Finally got offline.

10:45 p.m. -- Tried to get to sleep, but "Up Against the Wall" and "Girlfriend" kept swirling in my head!

Sometime around 11:30 p.m. -- Finally got to sleep! What a wonderful day!
