YAO, this is NOT the correct character to use when writing Yao. The character itself contains the 'animal/dog' radical. It's an old character imposed to Iu (Mien) by the Hans because the Iu-Mien believe in Pien Hung, the dragon dog. Modern Yaos find it quite insulting. So, Please STOP using this character. The newly and officially adopted 'Yao' character contains the 'king' radical. It's the character you saw on my Main Page.
