Across The Miles

Friends communing across the miles

Sharing of the Father’s love

Opening their hearts and bringing a smile

Each one reaching for the other’s hand

And giving an invisible hug

Encouraging, uplifting that each may stand

With the knowledge that the Lord is there

Wrapping loving arms around each one

Giving of a peace that has no compare

As these friends share, giving of their heart

Their bonds of friendship becoming stronger

Which no obstacle can pull apart

The Lord gently lays His hand

On each friend’s bowed head

Drawing forth a joy at His command

He seems to be saying to one and all

Well done my faithful children

Thank you for responding to my call.
