Glimmer of Hope

In the midst of my agony

In the depths of my pain

Come words of hope

And phrases of love

Across the miles

Over the phone lines

People reach out

With encouraging thoughts

And with prayers they lift me up

It amazes me so

These people I really don’t know

But out of kind hearts

And with the love of Christ

They reach out to give me hope

Some with simple thoughts and phrases

Others with profound words of wisdom

Through my tears and sadness

I feel the warm glow of their love

Reaching out and enfolding

Surrounding me in a invisible embrace

Bringing a glimmer of hope to my heart

And the thoughts that no matter what happens

No matter where I may roam

God will always find a way

To show me His love.
