Lost Friend

To my friend

Of whom I seem to have lost

I send my love and tender thoughts

Of times we had so long ago

If my actions or my words

Have wounded

And hurt you in your deepest part

I ask your forgiveness

And pray that the Father

Your heart would mend

I miss those special moments

That we used to spend

Just you and I

The pleasure never ends

I know not where you have gone

But where ever it may be

I hope that you have found

Another friend to fill your

Empty heart

With love and joy

As mine you once did

Someday I know

That God will bring

Our hearts together again

For both you and I

Trust the Father up above

And His desire for us both

Is nothing but love

Until that day

Of friendship rekindled

I send my love and prayers

Ever wending your way

With the hope that

Someday soon

Your precious face

I will see
