Planting

Participants of the Youth Tree Care Program spend their first two Saturday’s helping with neighborhood plantings that have been organized by Friends of the Urban Forest. The students begin learning the names of the trees in their surroundings as they do the names of the community members with whom they are working with.

Our group this Fall helped plant 30 trees in the Tenderloin, and 46 trees in Portola.
