Climbing day is one of the most anticipated activities of the program. Expert tree climbers start the day with a climbing demonstration of their own and then turn the saddles over to the students. Each student can choose to try a little tree climbing on their own - and most do!

This Fall, José Perez, expert tree climber and foreman for the Davey Tree Expert Company, volunteered his time and expertise to lead the climbing demonstration. By the time José came down out of the large Blue gum Eucalyptus tree, the students were ready to give it a try. . .
