The term "Industrial
Security" has many applications. There are different catagories of industrial
security such as regular Plant Security, DOE Plant Security, DOD Plant
security, and Healthcare Security to name a few.
Within the term "Industrial Security" there
are several disciplines like Physical Security, Information Security, Investigations,OPSEC,
and Computer Security. Which brings us to the sub-specialties like
Locksmithing, Background or Pre-employment Investigations, Interrogations,
Security Education, Security Officers, Surveillance, CCTV monitors, Security
Survey, Security & Life Safety Dispatchers and such. More often than
not a person will serve in a multidisciplined position to minimize cost.
