When I drive down your endless highway
Looked up to watch what they call
Your beautiful skyway
Never thought I'd see the day
See the day we had to pay
To face our destined grizzly fate

Make It Home was the last song on the album to be recorded. The tune had been written a while back though. While Kaylub was in Regina and Haplo in BC the two wrote seperate songs. Upon the creation of Cafe Insomnia the two added riffs from each song to produce a new creation together, soon there after it was completely written. It's rather obvious what the song is about.

When I draw my map it says
Don't look back
My souls been wandering a one way track
How can you think this is okay
How can this be okay today
When you're always in my way

Took a step closer
And you push me away
So I took my hands off
And we called it a day
Turned my ass around
Began the long stray
You can't find me
My hearts in a fray

When I try to find my place
It all runs dry it all turns grey
The paths that I once knew
Are now broken through and through
Every finger that I point
It points to you
When I walk in my shoes
I hide the pain I ruse the truth
I know my feet, they don't lie
That piece of you and me has died
I killed the pain
That once was mine

Took a step closer
And you push me away
So I took my hands off
And we called it a day
Turned my ass around
Began the long stray
When she asks me why
I'll always say

When they see my face
They say I'll never make it
When they see me pray
They say I'll never make it
When they see my face
They say I'll never make it
When they see me pray
They say I'll never make it
HOME!

It's simply the tale of someone trying to get home. You can feel weighed down by a million burdens when off and on your own. Sometimes you've been gone so long you're not sure if you'll ever make it home.
