Rough was the first song ever written by Kaylub & Haplo as a duo. Kaylub asked Haplo if he'd record the song with him and put it on "Road To No Where". Haplo agreed and the song had been put down in the studio. The 2 musicians were satisfied with the end result, but felt they could do a better job. Now, a year and a half later, with the creation of Cafe Insomnia, the band has rerecorded the song and made it even better than the original. What can we say, the song is about addiction, a girl with an addiction
