Hurts to say your name
'Cuz I'm not the same
Waiting for you to come back
But I know
Our love went black

The Journey Back was the final song written and recorded for "Road To No Where". Kaylub road it upon returning to BC after a roadtrip to Regina, sask. He had the whole album done but knew he wanted one more song to be on it. When he returned to BC he knew that he would be moving back to Regina real soon and decided to write a song about how it made him feel.

Ya, so drink that poison
Once again
Quaff it all
Lose the friends

Hurts to hear your voice
'Cuz I have no choice
But I deny the fact
Your heart has gone black

Ya, so drink that poison
From my vial
Quaff it all
Watch the demon smile
Ya, so drink that poison
Once more
Quaff it all
Feed the sores

My mind is so dry
I can't even cry
Hurts to see you smile
So I live in denial

Ya, so drink that poison
Once again
Quaff it all
Lose your friends
Ya, so drink that poison
From my vial
Quaff it all
Watch the demon smile

The song was symbolically named "The Journey Back". If the album was called "Road To No Where" this was definatly the Journey Back from his learning experience. It was kind of an easy way for Kaylub to tell himself that it was time to move on to new and different things. The song still haunts Kaylub a bit, for his spirit knew something his mind didn't. Kaylub still isn't entirely sure that his spirit has let his mind in on the secret.
