Tonight was the best night of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Everclear concert. I got one of Art’s guitar picks, I got to be an Everclear dancer for the first time during Rock Star, I gave Art a hug and a kiss on the cheek, I practically held Craig while he purposely fell on me, and Art loved my shirt.
Our Everclear dancer shirts that we made turned out so good, and when I went up to Art and said, “I made this for you.” He looked at me and said, “oh my god, look at that!” with a big smile on his face. That’s when I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. It was truly a memorable moment- well the whole concert was. I couldn’t have asked for a better setlist. It was awesome, I believe it was 22 songs. Playing everything from Song From An American Movie pt.1, to Heroin Girl. Every song was amazing and so energetic. The guys put on a hell of a show.
And what made it even better was the fact that we had floor seats, standing only, but standing is better always, front row. Our view was perfect. Well when Rock Star came on I went crazy screaming and trying to get onstage, I wanted it so bad. I asked one of the guards to put me up there and he was like I can’t. I almost cried. But one of the other guards who was totally cool with us all night was like no, put her on that stage now. So they lifted me up and put me onstage.
When I got up there I was amazed. I couldn’t believe I was really there. It felt like a dream. I just started jumping and dancing and singing, and well- freaking out. It felt so good to be up there, I felt so free. I was totally in my element. Like it was where I belonged. An Everclear concert is definitely my favorite place to be. The fans, the music, the power. When Art was throwing picks into the audience, one fell in the section in front of us by the guards. The guard gave it to my friend, and she slipped it into my hand. Then later on, a guard gave me a pick and I gave it to my friend. She got a Craig one and I got an Art one.
