About Me

wonderfulmiss@aol.com

The picture is of me and my friend in a Las Vegas hotel on the way to an everclear concert. I am the one on the right.

My name is Melissa and I am 15 years old. I play the guitar and I have liked everclear since I was about 11 years old. I live in SoCal, and as you can obviously tell, everclear is my life. I have been a fan for over 4 years now. The first cd I bought by them was So Much For The Afterglow. I remember hearing Father of Mine on the radio and falling in love with it. After I bought the cd it quickly became one of my favorites.

At the time I didn't know about Sparkle and Fade or World of Noise. A few years later Learning How To Smile came out- and that was when I was hooked. I immediately bought the cd after hearing Wondeful only once in the radio. You see, when I heard that song, I almost cried. And that was when I knew that everclear was not just an ordinary one hit wonder kind of band. A few months later Good Time For A Bad Attitude was released, and ofcourse I bought that as well.

In December of 2000, shortly after I fell in love with everclear, I heard about a concert that they were having in San Francisco. It was 8 hours away from where I live in a small place called The Warfield, my dad drove me all the way up there to see them. That was an experience I will never forget. But before we left for the concert we went on a mad search for Sparkle and Fade and World of Noise, which we eventually found. And that had completed my collection. Or atleast of their major albums:) Of any band, I have never heard music or lyrics near as good and as meaningful as everclear's.

So I have only really been obsessed with them for a little over a year. But they had always been one of my favorite bands, and I always thought they rocked. I don't think the amount of time you have been obsessed with them matters, but how much you truly love their music. Now I can surely say that they are my favorite band and I wouldn't know what to do without them.

After my first everclear concert, I went full blown everclear and I know I will never go back. I saw them 3 more times within the course of 4 months, at the Universal Amphitheatre, in Las Vegas @the House of Blues, and in Anaheim @the Sun Theatre. All in all, 1 month after I had bought the last everclear Cd I needed, I saw them live 4 times in 7 months. And if that's not love for their music, I don't know what is.

I also did some other crazy things like travel to Santa Monica and Summerland to take a bunch of pictures for my site, and just so I could visit some everclear places. And when James Beaton left the touring members, I got really into Robbie Gennet- who now tours with everclear and plays the keyboard for them. I saw him live as a solo act a bunch of times and recently saw his new band. I am still currently going to see his shows, ans I love his music.

I created this site to help all the other everclear fans out there, and because I owe it to everclear for all that they have done for me. There's a weekly newsletter on this site for all the fans, as well as valuable information I think you will all appreciate. Thank you so much for supporting my site, and don't ever forget that everclear is a part of us that will never go away.
