A ONEIGHTY TURNAROUND FOR OUR YOUTH

Oneighty is the place for you if you're between 13 & 22 years old and want to go where there's, Games, Food and Friends. Sounds like you? It's also a place where we tackle the tough issues you face every day and give you real answers that can change your life.

What is Oneighty?

Oneighty is lots of things to lots of teenagers, but listed below are what we set forth as our goals, our plans and our prayers for the youth of this area.

Outreach-Minded: We are committed to thinking outside the walls of our own churches. The Great Commission is a primary focus in all of our praying, planning and programming.
Numerical Increase: We believe God cares about numbers because "numbers" of teenagers in our city are on their way to Hell. Early church converts were added and even multiplied, and God's program hasn't changed.
Exalting Christ: We are calling young people to take their eyes off of the things of this world that won't last, and to worship our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Envolving Students: Oneighty is not adults reaching students and their friends. Oneighty is adults training students to reach their friends by providing opportunities for ministry in every area of gifting.
Growing Spiritually: We are teaching, discipling and maturing young people in the Word of God to enable them to walk in victory over temptation and through difficult circumstances.
Having Fun: We understand that teenagers have been created by God with a soul and body, not just a spirit. Therefore, we provide wholesome social and physical activities they will enjoy.
Training Leaders: We are only as strong as our ministry leadership team; therefore, we are constantly recruiting and developing world-class leaders to be a model and voice to this generation.
Youth-Friendly Facilities: We present an environment for today's teenagers that reflects their styles, colors, shapes and sounds - not our own.

You Can Know God

  • The bible says: "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God", Romans 3:23. "All" includes you and everybody else. That just means what you already know,...,no one is perfect. Perfection isn't even possible. We all sin and sin is what separates us from God, because God is perfect. Being separated from God is spiritual death. That's why we need to be changed, to be "saved". If we are spiritually dead because of our sin, then we need to be given a new life.
  • Thankfully, God has made a way for us to be given new lives and a new start. He sent His own son, Jesus, to this world to bring us back to Him. Jesus lived a sinless, perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and then was raised from the dead to give us victory over our sin and forgiveness from God. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave his one and only son, that whoever believes on Him shall not perish (die in your sin & be separated from God forever) but have eternal life."
  • It doesn't matter what you've done, or even how much or how often you've done it, all that matters is that Jesus loves you right now. He loves you just the way you are at this moment in time. There is nothing you can do to earn being forgiven by God and being given eternal life and a home in heaven. It's all a free gift from God that you get by faith, simply by believing in Jesus and what he did for you. Just reach out and take it and it's yours. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works (you're not saved because of good things you have done), so that no one can boast."
  • It is very simple to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified (made right with God), and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." If you want to ask Jesus to come into your life and forgive your sins and make you right with God, you just need to pray a prayer something like this one and mean it with all your heart: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is your son and that He was crucified and rose from the dead. Your word says, if I will believe in my heart and confess with my mouth, Jesus, I will be saved. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and be my savior and the Lord of my life. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I will follow you all my life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

If you prayed a prayer like this and asked Jesus into your heart just now, that is most incredible, fantastic, awesome thing that could ever happen to you, and you need to share that with somebody so come and join us Saturday Evenings. We'll see you there!
