CP/M 86 | CP/M, an acronym for Control Program/Monitor (or Control Program/Microcomputer), was an early operating system for Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 based computers. It was created by Digital Research Inc. established by Gary Kildall. The combination of CP/M and these S-100 bus computers was the first "industry standard", and was widely used through the late 1970s and into the mid-80s. |
