I'll never forget
The September day
When the twin towers went down
And took innocent lives away
I'll always remember
The way that I felt
When I saw the people
Who were hurt, cry for help
Life as we know it
Was shattered and torn
Our sense of safety
Was ripped up and gone
For the heros we lost
And the heros we gained
This act was horrific
And the whole world has changed
I still remember
The tears that I cried
I still grieve in silence
For those who have died
