The Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded December 10, 1899 by a visionary group of young men at the City College of New York. The Fraternity was unique at the time because of its guiding principles - incorporated by the founders into a statement of philosophy. With that statement, our founders created an organization based on the "universality of human brotherhood" in which the "question of nationality or religion of its individual members need not and must not play any part whatsoever."

Today, most other fraternities have grown to see the wisdom exhibited so long ago by Delta Sigma Phi's founders. With chapters at colleges and universities all across the United States, Delta Sigma Phi has grown well. Not only are we among the larger of the 65 NIC fraternities, we are one of the fastest growing NIC fraternities as well. During our recruitment process, we will be looking for high-potential men who welcome the opportunity to take on new challenges - men who value and strive for academic excellence, leadership opportunities, service to others, and friendship for life.

We are interested in men who not only desire success, but who, like our founders, are willing to work for it in everything they do. The challenge of becoming a part of a fraternity is not for everyone. It is a challenging task that requires hard work and a willingness to take risks. The rewards for success, however, are extraordinary.
