Relena Peacecraft is introduced as Relena Dorlian. She meets Heero Yuy after he crash lands on earth in Wing Gundam, and he threatens to kill her for seeing him.

Her father, the vice foreign minister of the Earth Sphere Alliance, is killed early in the series, and before he dies, he tells her that she is really Relena Peacecraft, princess of the Sanc Kingdom that was overrun by the Alliance.

Relena spends the series trying to find a way to make a difference, becoming the member of the Sanc Kingdom and delegating pacifism and occasionally becoming involved with the Gundam Pilots.

Her admiration of Heero forms a bond that deepens over the course of the series, softening him and strengthing her.
